On August 25th, Jianye District signed a cooperation agreement with JD Group, and the JD Group Nanjing R&D Center project was established in the district. Zhou Hongbo, the Secretary of the Municipal Committee, met with Wu Jie, Vice President of JD Group, and witnessed the signing ceremony together.
Since the beginning of this year, our city has been closely cooperating and exchanging with JD Group, and the cooperation in various fields has made rapid progress. The JD Group Nanjing R&D Center signed this time is another landmark project of the cooperation between the two sides. It will undertake the functions of the regional headquarters office and the R&D center, gather R&D personnel from cutting-edge industries such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and driverless technology to move in and work, layout business sectors such as retail, technology, finance, and health, and introduce the aggregation of upstream and downstream ecosystem enterprises in the industrial chain.
Zhou Hongbo held talks with Wu Jie and her team. During the meeting, Zhou Hongbo introduced Nanjing’s comparative advantages in various aspects and hoped that JD.com would take the signed projects as a driving force to strengthen its headquarters economy, accelerate the layout of incremental business and local life services, and assist Nanjing in building a national logistics hub and an international consumption center city. Wu Jie stated that JD Group will deeply participate in the economic and social development of Nanjing, actively layout new businesses and new business forms, and strive to achieve more win-win results.
