From June 6th to 9th, the third provincial event of the ‘Outstanding Foreign Trade Products China Tour’ Jiangsu Station, along with the 2025 Jiangsu Time-honored Brand ‘Three Enters and Three Promotions’ event and the China (Jiangsu) Time-honored Brands Expo, were held simultaneously at the Nanjing International Exhibition Center. The event attracted nearly 300 foreign trade companies from across the province and over 280 time-honored brands from both within and outside Jiangsu. On the afternoon of June 7th, Provincial Party Secretary Xin Changxing and Provincial Governor Xu Kunlin visited the site for research.
At the Foreign Trade Premium Products Exhibition, Xin Changxing and Xu Kunlin visited exhibition areas for clothing and home textiles, outdoor products, consumer electronics, and food, as well as booths of companies like Sumec and Suha. They interacted with sales staff from participating companies and shoppers, gaining detailed insights into product prices, export, and domestic sales situations. Xin emphasized that since the Jiangsu leg of the ‘China’s Best Foreign Trade Products Tour’ began, it has received positive feedback across the board. Relevant departments should continue to organize such events, actively build diverse platforms, and precisely assist foreign trade enterprises willing and in need of expanding their domestic sales channels to better meet consumers’ diverse needs.
At the Time-honored Brands Expo, a wide array of specialty goods and traditional craft experiences attracted many young participants. Xin and Xu stopped to observe and inquire about sales. Xin pointed out that time-honored brands possess strong brand value, economic value, and cultural value. He hopes that participating companies will adhere to craftsmanship, adapt to new changes in consumer demand, and introduce more distinctive and appealing domestic products, making younger generations more familiar with and fond of these brands.
During the survey, Xin stressed that boosting consumption and expanding domestic demand is an intrinsic requirement for promoting high-quality development. Efforts should be made to steadily advance the integration of domestic and foreign trade, facilitating connections between domestic and international channels, brands, production and sales, and standards. Companies should leverage both domestic and international markets and resources to explore new market spaces. The implementation of actions to boost consumption should be deepened, providing higher quality goods and services, creating diversified consumption scenarios, and fostering a safe, trustworthy, and convenient consumption environment to continuously cultivate new consumption growth points. Support should be given to the inheritance and innovation of time-honored brands, focusing on cultural and technological empowerment, keeping pace with the times by innovating business concepts and marketing channels, further enhancing brand recognition, and expanding consumer groups to rejuvenate these brands.
