Good news! On the morning of October 16th, the Nanjing production base project of Haiguang Xinchuang high-speed optical modules, with a total investment of 1 billion yuan, was officially put into operation in Jiangbei New Area

As a leading enterprise in the domestic silicon photonics chip field, Haiguang Xinchuang has accumulated rich experience in the research and development, production and manufacturing of silicon photonics chip design, chip packaging and testing, high-speed optoelectronic devices, high-speed optical modules and other products. At present, it has successfully entered the global mainstream data center market and has become an important supplier for mainstream Internet enterprises in North America and China.
In May this year, the high-speed optical module production base project of Haiguang Xinchuang was launched in the Research and Innovation Park and went into production after five months.
It is understood that the total investment of this project is 1 billion yuan. The high-speed optical module production base will be built in phases. The first phase will use 8,600 square meters of land to build a 10,000-level dust-free workshop. In the future, it will achieve mass production of high-speed optical modules with 400G, 800G and 1.6T silicon photonics solutions.
For a long time, Jiangbei New Area has been deeply engaged in the integrated circuit industry, establishing a number of key laboratories and technological innovation centers such as the EDA National Innovation Center, the National Xinhuo Platform, and the Provincial Optoelectronic Technology Innovation Center. It has gathered hundreds of high-quality enterprises including Xinxingji, Nanzhi Optoelectronics, and Changjing Technology, covering the entire industrial chain of key links such as integrated circuit design, manufacturing, packaging and testing, equipment, and materials.
The commissioning of the high-speed optical module production base project of Hygon Xinchuang not only marks a new starting point for Hygon to build a globally competitive optoelectronic product production base, but also represents another new breakthrough in the integrated circuit industry of the new district.
Starting with an annual production capacity of 1 million units, Haiguang Xinchuang will rely on the dual drive of technological innovation and supply chain integration to continuously unleash production potential, ensuring that production capacity increases year by year and injecting stronger impetus into the development of the industry.
The production base was built in three months and put into operation in five months. It can be said that we, together with the new district, have set an industry record. Hu Zhaoyang, the chairman of Hygon Xinchuang, frankly stated that the new district is a fertile ground for starting businesses and making achievements. It not only witnessed the growth of Hygon Xinchuang but will also become a bright window for the enterprise to face the whole country and connect with the world.
