A few days ago, the China Agricultural Technology Association and the Jiangsu Association for Science and Technology respectively announced the list of the first batch of national science and technology institutes and the list of Jiangsu science and technology institutes. Lishui Qingmei Science and Technology Academy was selected into the national list, Lishui Blueberry Science and Technology Academy and Pear Science and Technology Academy were selected into the provincial list, and the number of newly recognized science and technology courtyards in our district this year ranked first among all districts in Nanjing.
What is a Science and Technology Courtyard? The Science and Technology Courtyard is a “Science and Technology Rural Courtyard”, which is a “Rural Courtyard” for teachers and students of colleges and universities and technicians from scientific research institutes to engage in scientific research and serve the “Three Rurals”, promote rural entrepreneurship with scientific and technological innovation, write high-quality papers on the rural land, and help farmers increase their income and get rich with scientific and technological achievements.
In recent years, the District Association for Science and Technology has closely followed the requirements of the District Committee, with the care and support of the provincial and municipal associations for science and technology, in accordance with the method of “problem-driven, talent training, and industrial linkage”, adhered to the working principle of “early cultivation and practical advancement”, created a “zero distance, zero threshold” science and technology service model, promoted the deep integration of human resources, scientific and technological resources and agricultural industry, and wonderfully wrote the story of the science and technology courtyard where agricultural talents and rural revitalization go to each other in Lishui. On April 25, a delegation from Lanxian County, Shanxi Province made a special trip to Lili to inspect and learn the experience of building a science and technology courtyard. On May 13, the leaders of the provincial and municipal associations for science and technology came to Lishui for investigation and fully affirmed the work of the science and technology institute in our district.

In the 200 acres of green plum experimental field in Di Village, Jingqiao Town, Professor Gao Zhihong of Nanjing Agricultural University is leading a team of graduate students to prune branches. These seemingly ordinary green plum trees are new varieties that have been tested and promoted, carrying the hope of upgrading the green plum industry in Dicun. In December 2024, the Qingmei Science and Technology Academy in Lishui, Jiangsu Province officially landed in Di Village. Under the guidance of the District Association for Science and Technology, Gao Zhihong’s team took root in Di Village with the model of “Party Branch, Science and Technology Academy, Cooperative, and Farmer”, so that scientific research results could “jump” out of papers and directly “plant” into the ground.
