This is the super high-rise building in the East District of Nanjing Financial City Phase II. Walking into the construction site, there are busy figures in every corner.
“We have just completed the construction of the exterior curtain wall and are now finalizing other work such as interior decoration and mechanical and electrical installation.” Shen Chenyang, on-site technical director of the project’s general contractor China Construction Fourth Engineering Bureau, introduced that as the C1 tower of the second phase of the Financial City, it has a total height of 416.6 meters and 88 floors.
During the construction process, the core tube of the C1 tower adopted an “ultra-dense steel column + reinforced concrete” structural system, which is relatively rare among domestic super-high-rise buildings over 400 meters.
During the upward construction process, construction difficulties such as formwork design, high-altitude conversion, ultra-high pumping and material distribution were also overcome.
The exterior of the building adopts a “vertical line” and “square” design, with high-performance glass curtain walls that look full of texture under the sunlight.
A total of 11,933 pieces of glass are used in the building’s curtain wall, which not only provides good natural lighting, but also has better thermal insulation and heat preservation properties.
The project has been selected as a demonstration project for the modernization of the construction industry in Jiangsu Province and a pilot project for intelligent construction in Nanjing. It will promote the intelligent construction of ultra-high-rise buildings by building an intelligent collaborative cloud platform and smart equipment.
The total construction area of the East District of Nanjing Financial City Phase II is about 429,000 square meters. The project is positioned to create a “landmark financial enterprise cluster with international standards.” The C1 tower is the new landmark in Hexi and is scheduled to be completed next year.

To open up dead-end roads and facilitate microcirculation, the Tianyin Avenue North Extension Project is entering the sprint stage.
Some of the ground roads here have been basically built, and the main parts of the two cross-river bridges have also been completed. “The airport river bridge is currently under construction. This bridge is flush with the roads on both sides. We plan to complete the bridge deck paving in the near future,” said Dai Liangchao, the on-site person in charge of Jiangning State-owned Assets Group.
The Tianyin Avenue North Extension Project starts from Chengtian Avenue Bridge (Qinhuai Bay Bridge) in Qinhuai District in the north and ends at Hongyun Avenue in the south. It is about 2.7 kilometers long and is designed as a six-lane bidirectional project.
As the road goes north, it not only crosses three rivers, but also passes under the Ninghang and Nanyanjiang railways. In particular, the Qinhuai East River Bridge plays a role in connecting with the southern new city. The bridge is about 450 meters long and is divided into two sections, each of which is 17.25 meters wide.
“At present, the bridge has been connected with the Qinhuai Bay Bridge in the southern new city.” Dai Liangchao said that the northern extension of Tianyin Avenue is planned to be completed next year. After completion, it will effectively ease the traffic pressure from Shuanglong Avenue to Kazimen, open up a fast access channel to the city, and promote the integrated development of the two districts.
According to the Jiangning District Urban Construction Bureau, the northern extension of Dongqi Road, another important dead-end road in the district , has basically completed the new section of the right half after the left half was opened to traffic at the beginning of the year.
