Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the “National Urban Manufacturing High-quality Development Practice Cases and Feature Cases List”, and two cases from Nanjing were successfully listed, namely the comprehensive case “Building a new practice in Nanjing for high-quality development of manufacturing industry under the leadership of industrial strong city construction” , and the feature case “Systematic promotion of industrial innovation talent team construction” .
In recent years, Nanjing has insisted on building an industrially strong city as the overall goal, systematically constructing a “4266” industrial system, and clearly defined the main directions of consolidating and upgrading the four pillar industries and cultivating and expanding the “2+6+6” innovative industrial clusters. It has also studied and issued special policies for the development of industries such as industrial software, artificial intelligence, computing power, low-altitude economy, commercial aerospace, intelligent connected vehicles, and robots, and accelerated the construction of a modern industrial system with advanced manufacturing as the backbone.
Nanjing ranks 8th in the evaluation of the top 100 cities in advanced manufacturing in China in 2023. It has been approved as the first national intelligent connected vehicle “vehicle-road-cloud integration” pilot, Beidou large-scale application pilot, small and medium-sized enterprise digital transformation pilot, “5G+Industrial Internet” integrated application pilot, and 5G application “Sailing” action key city. Four clusters of software and information services, new power (smart grid) equipment, Southern Jiangsu special steel materials, and Yangtze River Delta large aircraft have been selected as national advanced manufacturing clusters. A total of 31 national manufacturing single champions and 334 national specialized and new “little giants” enterprises have been cultivated.
It is reported that in order to thoroughly implement the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee on promoting high-quality development, fully tap the experience and measures of different cities in promoting high-quality development of manufacturing, strengthen exchanges and mutual learning among various regions, accelerate the improvement and strengthening of manufacturing, and consolidate the foundation of the real economy, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology launched the 2024 Urban Manufacturing High-quality Development Practice Case Collection in September. A total of 20 comprehensive cases and 70 special cases were selected nationwide, and Jiangsu won 2 comprehensive cases and 6 special cases.
