The story begins in 2003.
At that time, communication technology had just transitioned from 2G to 3G, and text messages and multimedia messages were the mainstream communication methods. A local enterprise engaged in communication services – Haokun Technology – quietly established itself in an office located in Zijinghua Road, Zhuyuan District, at the ZTE Nanjing Research Institute. It started by providing support systems for operators, and a team of 100 people rooted themselves in the entrepreneurial soil of Yuhan. They have been working here for twenty years.
To this day, Haohui Technology has established over 50 R&D centers and branches worldwide, with international business staff numbering around 3,000. Nearly 1,000 of them are stationed overseas, and there are also over 600 local employees of foreign origin. The business covers Europe, Latin America, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Africa and other regions. The communication services reach over 1.8 billion users.
“In 2004, we made our first overseas order in collaboration with a Pakistani operator. The team was both nervous and excited.” Jin Kun, the executive vice president and chief talent officer of Haohui Technology, recalled, “That order was not only a breakthrough in business, but also like a shot of adrenaline. It made everyone believe that Yuhua’s company could also go global!”
In 2018, Alibaba and Yunfeng Fund made strategic investments, driving the company’s growth with a “dual-wheel” approach of technology and capital. Under this impetus, Haokun Technology further unleashed its innovative vitality. In recent years, riding on the momentum of the development of the artificial intelligence industry, Haokun Technology, leveraging its solid software technology “assets”, actively ventured into the new field of artificial intelligence. The “Haokun Technology Global Headquarters Building” located in “AI·Mirror World – Nanjing Artificial Intelligence Ecological District” is about to be put into use. Its independently developed artificial intelligence application platform has also been implemented in multiple countries such as the Philippines and Mexico. From traditional software to cutting-edge AI, overseas clients have repeatedly become “repeat customers”. “The whale paintings hanging in our exhibition hall are the best testimony,” Jin Kun explained. These paintings were specially created by a Luxembourg client for Haokun Technology. “After more than ten years of cooperation, they trust not only us but also the technical strength of Chinese enterprises.”
The AI advanced technology “collective store” presents everything in one place.
The growth of Haohui Technology is a microcosm of the development of the digital industry in Yuhuatai District. This land started from just a few lines of code on Software Avenue and later developed into the largest communication software base in the country. During the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, the software business revenue of Yuhuatai District has grown by more than 10% annually, accounting for approximately 35% of the city and about 20% of the province. It has become a key force in driving Nanjing to become the first trillion-dollar industry landmark in the province.
Currently, Yuhuatai District is transforming the “software assets” accumulated over the past two decades into a “starting advantage” for the new field of artificial intelligence. At the end of last year, the “AI·Mirror World – Nanjing Artificial Intelligence Ecological District” located in China (Nanjing) Software Valley officially opened. This transformation and advancement is evident everywhere.
The “AI·Mold Workshop” intelligent distribution center of the neighborhood is like an “assembly store” for AI technologies. It presents the latest AI achievements of Yuhua in one place.
Here, the AI assistant can help with taxi booking and ordering takeout; humanoid robots can dance and practice Tai Chi; the AI cockpit of intelligent connected vehicles can precisely monitor fatigue driving; when you press the start button, the AI chef provides a “一条龙” service from preparing the ingredients, cooking to serving the dish； and the AI doctor can “virtually” examine your pulse and easily understand your physical condition… These seemingly “science fiction” scenarios are all the innovative achievements of AI enterprises in Yuhua.
The “AI·Mold Factory” intelligent agent distribution center is the core hub of intelligent agents created by the innovation of Nanjing’s artificial intelligence ecosystem district. The center pioneered a “physical offline space + digital online platform” integration model, integrating multiple functions such as “display, experience, development, and transaction”, aiming to efficiently connect technology supply and market demand, and accelerate the empowerment of intelligent agents across various industries.
The future plan for artificial intelligence is clearly visible.
Regarding the future, Yu Hua has already made a clear plan:

✍ Make key investments in cutting-edge sectors like embodied intelligence, quantum technology, and brain-computer interfaces.
✍ Anchor on AI’s full-scenario applications. Aim to gather 1,000 AI upstream and downstream enterprises and 100,000 AI talents within 5 years, create 500 representative vertical application products and 50 benchmark application scenarios, and achieve core industry output value exceeding 100 billion yuan, and associated industry output value exceeding 300 billion yuan.
