This provincial major project with a total investment of 3 billion yuan is expected to enter the trial production stage in Lishui Development Zone in July this year, seizing the opportunity of the unmanned vehicle track and injecting strong impetus into the intelligent networked automobile industry in Nanjing and even the whole country.
Seize the construction period to speed up the realization of trial production
Walking into the project construction site located at the intersection of Xumutang Road and Sanya Road in the Development Zone, seven or eight excavators waved their “arms”, and the busy figures of workers could be seen everywhere, and the roar of construction equipment played the strongest sound of the project in the bright spring light. The first phase of the project covers an area of 58 acres, with a construction area of 44,600 square meters, including living buildings, R&D buildings, assembly workshops, solid waste warehouses, spare parts warehouses, etc. Among them, the assembly workshop has the largest construction area, with a total of 33,000 square meters, divided into two floors, and is currently undergoing underground structure construction. More than 100 workers returned to work ahead of schedule after the festival and made every effort to grasp the progress of the project.
“We follow the time node, reverse the construction period, and wall chart to ensure that the project is completed on schedule.” Du Wanyun, project director of Nanjing Yika Smart Car Smart Factory, said that the construction site is currently fully resuming work, and strive to realize the entry of equipment in May to help the project be put into production as soon as possible. After the completion of the new plant, it will have the capacity of producing 20,000 units per year in a single shift, and the company’s output value is expected to reach 100 million yuan next year.
Full service escorts the project
As a leading enterprise in the field of urban service-oriented unmanned vehicles, Yika Smart Car has launched more than 10 unmanned vehicles for three major scenarios such as sanitation, logistics, and security in the past two years, and nearly 2,000 vehicles have been running in many pilot cities across the country. In 2024, through investment attraction in Lishui Development Zone, Yika Zhiche will come to Lishui from Shanghai, where it will build a world-leading digital intelligent factory combining flexible automated production of L4 unmanned vehicles with “immersive” experience.
“The development zone not only explained the investment promotion policy in detail for us and provided preferential measures, but also fully considered our production needs and future development, which made us very moved.” Du Wanyun specifically mentioned that in particular, the “five certificates” (construction land planning permit, real estate property certificate, construction project planning permit, construction drawing examination certificate and construction project construction permit) were completed in just one month, which advanced the start of the project by nearly two months. According to Wan Jian, the person in charge of the major project promotion office of the development zone, the development zone has set up a special service class led by the main leaders, and adopted the mode of “division of labor and cooperation, active intervention, advance pre-trial, and service relay” to track the agency throughout the process and escort the project construction.
Rush to make orders, temporary plant to ensure production
In the 10,000-square-meter temporary plant of Suchuang Smart Industrial Park in the Development Zone, nearly 100 workers of Yika Zhiche have all arrived at their posts, and the two production lines are running at full power to catch up with orders. At the scene, dozens of customized logistics vehicles have been hung with driving license plates, and the body has been labeled with the logo of the logistics company. “This batch of logistics vehicles will be delivered to customers soon.” Du Wanyun said that there are still a large number of orders waiting for production and delivery.
“The smooth leasing of the plant benefited from the active coordination and strong support of the government of the development zone.” Du Wanyun said that while accelerating the construction of the project, Yika Zhiche rented a plant for full-speed production. With the transitional plant, it not only relieves the production pressure, but also provides a strong guarantee for the timely delivery of orders. Today, Nanjing Yika Zhiche has stable customers such as rookies and white rhinos, and has linked more than 100 ecological partners in the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain. The settlement of its new project will bring multiple benefits of technological innovation, industrial upgrading and economic growth to Lishui. Lishui will join hands with Yika Zhiche to build an unmanned vehicle industry chain cluster, and give strong support in terms of application scenarios, carrier sites, industrial support, business environment, administrative services, etc., to enhance the resilience and competitiveness of the industrial chain in the field of service-oriented unmanned vehicles.
