Three ways, let a harvest have a landing

At half past four in the afternoon, the sun is in the west, and the country road of Shituzhai Village in Nanjing’s National Agricultural high area is bustling. One by one, the electric cars rolled out of the houses, baskets of blueberries in the back of the cars, and the baskets, shaded by old cloth, bumped in the same direction. In the fields along the road, some late-ripening varieties were still hanging on the branches, but most of the fruit had already entered the basket, and it was time to find a “next home”.

Fresh fruit out of the village, business stalls daily line

In Stone village, mention selling blueberries, many farmers first thought of Zhang Weiwei. The young entrepreneur established Nanjing Blue Fat Farmer Professional Cooperative in Nonggao District in 2018. She planted nearly 50 mu of blueberries, and helped surrounding farmers find sales, with an average annual sales of more than 60 tons, becoming the “salesperson” of the whole village.

This year, she changed her planting pattern and produced only 10 tons, but the cooperative sold more than 70 tons — mostly from neighboring farmers. “Uncle, you this basket today head big, can go business super, high price.” Zhang Weiwei squatted in the sorting shed, picking and accounting with the farmers. Box horse and other business super list, fruit sorting and packaging directly sent to the warehouse; Zhongcai wholesale market stalls, every day before dawn on the departure. After answering one phone call, another came in, and the work in his hand never stopped.

Frozen fruit storage, cold storage workshop has a place

Fresh fruit to sell is the ability, fresh fruit to live is confidence. In the second half of the harvest period, fresh fruit sales pressure increased, many villagers can not sell the fruit, will be sent to the frozen warehouse of Minghe Agriculture.

There was already a line at the front of the warehouse. The worker took the basket and bent down to get closer, pulling the fruit with his fingertips and looking back and forth: “You have a well-formed basket, good.” The number beat on the weighing table, and the person next to it took down the number, then tore off a small piece of paper about the size of the palm from the table, and handed it over. It said the number, the total weight, the net weight, and the number of baskets. An old man took over, squinted and looked again, saying “right, right, no less”, folded it into his pocket, patted the back seat, and drove off.

Zhang Ming, the person in charge of the company, rented a new 800 square meters of freezing warehouse in Shituzhai village, including 200 square meters of freezing storage. The fruit passes the scale and turns into the freezer at minus 35 degrees Celsius. When the cold storage door opened, the white breath came out, and the fruit went in for a few minutes, and the surface was covered with a layer of frost. Workers pick the frozen fruit under the lamp, pick out the individual color wrong, the machine on the conveyor belt “click click” the size of the big fruit to the right, small fruit to the left, each has its own place.

“Cloud fruit” on-line, live in the studio alone fly quartet

The cold storage keeps the price, and the live broadcast opens a broader space. In the blueberry Culture Experience Hall in Huangwanli, Xiong Kai, secretary of the General Party Branch of Shituzhai Village, is setting up a mobile phone with his staff and farmers to broadcast live. “Family, this blueberry has just been brought from the village. Try it. Is it crisps?” On the screen, the bullet screen flashed and flashed, and the order prompt went on and on. As the farmers huddled around to look at the numbers, someone whispered, “This is selling fast.”

Huangwanli Village, which has just been selected as the 2026 Jiangsu Province Characteristic Garden Construction Demonstration Project list, is the first place to plant blueberries and blackberries in Shituzhai Village for nearly 40 years. The village Party General branch with more than 800 farmers group development, now the village has opened hundreds of online stores, annual e-commerce sales exceeded 10 million. The annual collective income of the village is 4 million yuan, and the average disposable income of the villagers is 41,000 yuan. Offline stalls, cold storage processing value-added, broadcasting room expansion – three pieces of each other, the day over the more practical.

Stone Village’s blueberries, picked from the branches, some of the same day into the supermarket, some into the cold storage and other non-local car, and some on the broadcast room to sell to other provinces. In Nanjing National Agricultural High Zone, organizational drive, scientific and technological support, and multiple channels have made this small blueberry string an industrial chain, and also string a real income for farmers.
