There is also a “secret weapon” hidden in the underground part of this building – a ground source heat pump system . Its underground pipes are designed to be buried up to 120 meters deep. It uses the earth or water as a source of cold and heat to achieve warmth in the winter and coolness in the summer. “Air conditioning” technology “transfers” energy between the earth and indoors, thereby fully reducing energy consumption during the operation of electric air conditioners.
The real-life ” sky garden ” here has a 1,500-square-meter roof greening and viewing platform, which can effectively absorb carbon dioxide and reduce greenhouse gases. The entire building can increase the “carbon bank” storage by 1.2 tons per year.

Eastern China (Nanjing) Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Port is a research and development headquarters base integrating office, scientific research, experimentation and industry. The project covers an area of 68,000 square meters, with a total construction area of 226,000 square meters. Construction started in September 2021, and the first phase of the project has been completed.
