This morning, the press conference of the World Forum for Young Scientists (Nanjing) was held. It is reported that the forum is scheduled to be held at the HualUXE Hotel on the Yangtze River in the new District on September 20th. Over 20 Nobel laureates, domestic and foreign academicians, 100 world-renowned young scientists, as well as young scientific and technological talents from domestic and foreign universities, overseas outstanding talents introduced by universities in the new district, and young talents who are about to start businesses and innovate in Nanjing will gather in the new district. Jointly empower the “Dynamic New District and Youthful Main City”.
01 Why hold the Youth Science Forum?
Innovation is the primary driving force and talent is the primary resource. Especially young scientific and technological talents are the vital force driving the development of scientific and technological innovation. In recent years, the new district has been deeply implementing the innovation-driven development strategy, accelerating the construction of the Yangtze River Industrial Science and Technology Innovation Pilot Zone, and focusing on building a new main urban area in the north of the river. Young talents are the key to construction.
The new district will hold a Youth Science and Technology Forum, which will further promote scientific and technological exchanges among young scientists around the world, provide a platform for outstanding scientists from around the world to release the latest scientific and technological trends, and guide and support young scientific and technological talents to “take on major responsibilities and play leading roles” in development. Further closely integrate with the regional leading industries, invite scientists from relevant fields to have in-depth discussions on the development of industrial technology, and jointly build an efficient and smooth research and production integration system. Further make more friends, attract more people to visit, understand and choose the new district, and at the same time, deeply explore the innovative value and project resources, and jointly explore new cooperation and new increments in industrial investment projects.
Where will it be held and what are the links?
The theme of this forum is “Youth, the Future of World Science”, and it will be held at the HuALUEYI Hotel on the Yangtze River in Jiangbei New Area.

The opening ceremony was held on the morning of September 20th, featuring an opening video, speeches by leaders, keynote speeches, achievement releases, project signings, and policy announcements. It not only established a platform for scientists to collaborate on innovation and share information, but also showcased the favorable ecosystem of industrial and technological innovation in the new district.
Five industrial technology-themed conferences will be held on the afternoon of September 20th, covering areas such as artificial intelligence, integrated circuits, biomedicine, new energy and new materials, and intelligent manufacturing.

It is also planned to hold five industrial technology-themed conferences, release the top ten pioneering achievements of industrial technology in the new area, and showcase the vigorous momentum of the new area’s efforts to build the Yangtze River Industrial Technology Innovation Experimental Zone to scientists from all over the world.

This forum focuses on the group of young scientists under the age of 50, has sorted out 100 young scientists and produced the “World Young Scientists Directory”, and actively sought the support of the Communist Youth League Central Committee for the “Young Scientists’ 100-City Tour” to enter Nanjing. The opening ceremony of the forum was launched, and the new district will also officially release 20 policies for “Youth Development and Talent Gathering in the New District”.
