The spring tide surges forward, with an energetic momentum. On March 24th, when entering the site of the Future Food Technology Industrial Park (Phase II) project, the pile drivers were operating, machines were roaring, and engineering vehicles were moving about. The heat of the project construction was overwhelming. A modern industrial park has begun to take shape.
As a major project of Nanjing City in 2026, the Future Food Technology Industrial Park (Phase II) covers an area of 55 acres and has a total investment of 500 million yuan. It is divided into two plots, A and B, for construction. According to the project manager, the A plot covers 25 acres and mainly includes the construction of 5# high-standard factory building, power distribution room, gatehouse and ancillary works. On July 19, 2024, the A plot obtained the permit for pile foundation construction and “five certificates” were issued, and construction began. Currently, the main structure has been completed and is in the final stage of completion.
Block B covers an area of 30 mu and mainly includes the construction of 1# supporting building, 2# high-standard factory building, 3# high-standard factory building, the gatehouse, and ancillary projects. On September 10, 2025, the construction permit for Block B was obtained and construction began. It is expected that the main structure will be completed by mid-April and the project will be completed and filed for final inspection by the end of September. Currently, the 6th floor of 1# supporting building is under construction, the east side of 2# high-standard factory building has been completed, the west side has reached the 3rd floor, 3# high-standard factory building has been completed, and the secondary structure is currently being implemented.
The project has been signed with food enterprises such as Jiawo. Once completed, it will meet the rapidly increasing demand for standard factory buildings in the Agricultural High-tech Zone. By leveraging the regional characteristic agricultural resources, it will extend the future food industry chain and optimize and strengthen the future food strategic industrial cluster.
Major projects are the “ballast stone” and “power engine” for promoting economic development. In the next step, Nanjing National Agricultural High-tech Zone will continue to focus on the entire process of project construction, adhere to proactive and forward-looking services, accurately solve problems, and promote more projects to start construction earlier, complete earlier and go into production earlier. With the “acceleration” of industrial projects, it will lay a solid foundation for the high-quality development of the region.
