Ministry of Education, Jiangsu Province
Officially signed a contract to build
National University Regional Technology Transfer and Transformation Center (Jiangsu)
The first national regional technology transfer and transformation center for universities is located in Jiangsu, with Nanjing and Suzhou as the core bearing areas. The first batch of three major industrial directions, biomedicine, information and communications, and advanced materials, have been identified, and more than 20 domestic universities have been selected to participate in the construction.
As one of the first universities to support Jiangsu Province in building a national regional technology transfer and transformation center for colleges and universities, Southeast University will take this opportunity to continuously improve the effectiveness of transformation of scientific and technological achievements and promote the development of new quality productivity.

Wu Guoqiu, the leader of the achievement team, is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Medicine of Southeast University, director of the Laboratory Department of Zhongda Hospital affiliated to Southeast University, director of the Laboratory Science Department, and director of the Institute of Clinical Drug Biotechnology of Southeast University. He has been engaged in research on the role of molecular biology technology in disease diagnosis and treatment for a long time. He has presided over 16 projects including major national science and technology projects, National Natural Science Foundation, and Jiangsu Province Science and Technology Key R&D Projects, and has authorized more than 40 patents. In recent years, he has published more than 100 SCI papers as the first or corresponding author.
The team has innovated the entire chain from the bottom up, including principles, methods, materials, and processes. Utilizing the “dry reaction” principle, the test can be completed within 30 minutes, achieving a breakthrough from 0 to 1. It has been successfully used for the molecular detection of pathogenic microorganisms such as COVID-19, influenza A, influenza B, respiratory syncytial virus, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, Ureaplasma urealyticum, HPV E6/E7 mRNA, etc. It is suitable for bedside rapid nucleic acid testing and home self-testing, and has broad application prospects.
During the transformation process of this project, Southeast University’s “one-stop” service window for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements established the milestones of “project launch – registration and certification – long-term development cooperation” based on the objective conditions of both the supply and demand sides of the achievements and the general rules of the industry. It designed and adopted a full-cycle cooperative transformation path for scientific and technological achievements, and ultimately promoted the smooth transformation of achievements through full-process services such as full-process agency, comprehensive research and judgment, and design demonstration.
