On the afternoon of October 30, the third-generation semiconductor industry chain exchange event “Joining forces to create a new core for prosperity” was successfully held. This event is one of the supply and demand matching activities of Nanjing’s “Ninggongpinpu·Ten chains, hundreds of events, and thousands of enterprises”, guided by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, hosted by the Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, and undertaken by the Jiangbei New Area Economic Development Bureau, Nanjing Integrated Circuit Industry Association, and Jiufengshan Laboratory.
The event was themed on the connection between supply and demand in the field of third-generation semiconductors, and attracted more than 100 representatives from the third-generation semiconductor industry chain and terminal enterprises such as smart grids from Nanjing and surrounding cities to attend the meeting. Enterprise representatives and experts and scholars from relevant universities and public technology service platforms gathered together, and both supply and demand sides “ran in both directions” to jointly discuss the development trends and market opportunities of the third-generation semiconductor industry.
At the scene, Jiufengshan Laboratory, China Electronics Technology Group Corporation 55th Institute, and Nanjing National Integrated Circuit Core Fire Platform (ICisC) gave technical speeches, respectively introducing compound semiconductor material technology and industry development trends, market opportunities for silicon carbide power devices in electric drive applications, and core fire platform technical service content. State Grid Nanjing Automation, Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, NARI Semiconductor, Jiufengshan Laboratory Testing Center, and Nanzhi Optoelectronics focused on their respective professional fields to carry out supply and demand exchanges. Entrepreneurs participating in the meeting said that this event has built a pragmatic docking and cooperation platform for enterprises, which has positive significance for promoting the coordinated development of the industrial chain.
In the next step, the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology will do its best to provide services to enterprises. In accordance with the idea of ”enterprises raise demands, the government acts as a matchmaker, and supply and demand parties meet face to face”, it will continue to organize a series of special docking activities to promote coordinated development and innovative cooperation between upstream and downstream of the electronic information industry chain.
