On August 17, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee collectively investigated the work of Xiaguan Binjiang Business District, Wang Anwei, Secretary of the District Party Committee, presided over and delivered a speech, Fang Jing, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and District Mayor of the District Government, Lu Min, Director of the Standing Committee of the District People’s Congress, Dong Wei, Chairman of the District Political Consultative Conference, and Wang Yuchun, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, attended the meeting.
Before the meeting, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee successively went to the relocation project of Guojiashan locomotive facilities, Binjiang 02-27 plot, and Jiangsu Changjianghui Technology Co., Ltd. to inspect the progress of the project and the development of the enterprise on the spot. The Standing Committee of the District Party Committee affirmed the effectiveness of the construction and development of the Xiaguan Binjiang Business District.
The meeting pointed out that the Binjiang Business District is a key functional sector in the whole district, with high energy level, large volume, outstanding location advantages, unique riverside scenery, profound cultural heritage, and distinctive shipping industry, carrying the ardent expectations of all sectors of society to build the Nanjing Bund. It is necessary to resolutely shoulder the historical responsibility of the construction and development of the riverside, further strengthen confidence, dare to do good, and strive to speed up and increase efficiency in industrial development, project promotion, relocation of the West Railway Station, land transfer, and urban construction, continuously improve the total volume and quality of the regional economy, and make more contributions to the overall development of the whole region.
The meeting emphasized that it is necessary to adhere to the project construction as the starting point, coordinate the promotion of project construction and expropriation, maximize the release of development space, and revitalize land resources. It is necessary to continue to promote key projects such as railway reconstruction projects, make every effort to ensure major municipal projects such as Metro Line 5 and Line 9, Jianning West Road River Crossing Channel, and Huimin Avenue Renovation, and accelerate the promotion of major industrial projects such as Sudian Industrial Science and Technology Innovation Park and MCC Hutchison Foreign Bank, so as to provide strong support for the economic development of the whole region.
The meeting pointed out that it is necessary to scientifically plan industrial expansion and quality improvement, further strengthen leading industries such as shipping and logistics, high-end commerce and trade, cultural tourism, vigorously develop emerging industries, and promote the development of new productive forces according to local conditions; It is necessary to promote industrial development with high-point positioning, build a high-standard shipping and logistics service agglomeration area in Xiaguan and a low-altitude economic Yangtze River scene application demonstration area, and strive to build a tourist destination and consumption gathering place with the city’s influence.
The meeting emphasized that it is the responsibility of the whole district to promote the accelerated development of Xiaguan Binjiang Business District, and the district party committee and district government will, as always, fully support the work of Binjiang Business District, and all relevant departments and streets should further strengthen the guarantee and cohesion. The management committee should firmly establish the awareness that the goal must be achieved, know the responsibility, take responsibility for the body, and fulfill the responsibility, continuously strengthen the leadership of party building and the construction of the cadre team, take multiple measures to raise funds, find ways to reduce costs, make every effort to ensure the stability of capital revenue and expenditure, firmly guard the bottom line of integrity risk and safe production, and accelerate the construction and development of Binjiang Business District with an enterprising attitude, pragmatic measures and responsibilities.
