The source of the Qinhuai River flows into Victoria Harbour.

“Wow, there are such places in Nanjing too!” “The mountains, rivers, city and forests, it’s so refreshing and peaceful!” On June 16th, Lishui welcomed a group of special guests – the Hong Kong Business Herald’s Jiangsu Representative Office. Together with the Hong Kong Inbound Tourism Reception Association, they organized 38 representatives of Hong Kong and Macao travel agencies to travel 1,400 kilometers to enter the birthplace of the Qinhuai River – Lishui, Jiangsu Province. This was not just a sightseeing tour but also marked the beginning of a deep cultural and tourism resource connection and market cooperation. In the “Origin of Qinhuai River – Connecting with Hong Kong and Macao in 2026 – Lishui Hong Kong and Macao Tourist Source Interconnection Cooperation Sightseeing Tour” event, the Hong Kong Business Herald’s Jiangsu Representative Office and the Hong Kong and Macao travel agencies visited places such as Tiansheng Bridge Scenic Area, Wosheng Water Town, Guoxing Manor, and Yu Yuan, experiencing the beautiful mountains and fields and the ancient charm of Lishui.

That afternoon, Qin Yuan International Travel and Hong Kong Xiangshang International Tourism, Tian Shuangqiao Company and Yinsui International Tourism, Wen Jing Company and Jin Liang Hong Kong Travel Services jointly signed a strategic agreement. The two parties involved will achieve substantive cooperation in areas such as guest source distribution, product collaboration, and channel sharing.

Silver Jubilee International Tourism has over 50 luxury tour buses and a fleet of ships, and has been deeply engaged in local and cross-border reception services for decades. Jinliang Hong Kong Travel has rich experience in high-end markets such as golf and theme tours. Hong Kong Xiangsheng International Tourism covers outbound tourism, incentive tourism (a term for conferences, rewards, conventions and exhibitions), and business receptions.

They will jointly leverage the water resources of Lishui to tailor-make exclusive routes such as the exploration of Qinhuai’s cultural heritage, mountain-pond rural wellness tourism, and study tours for young people from Hong Kong and Macao. This marks a solid step forward for Lishui in expanding the tourism market for Hong Kong and Macao. These resources will be directly connected to Lishui’s scenic spots, hotels, and study bases, truly achieving the goal of “allowing Hong Kong and Macao tourists to come in, stay, and have a deep experience”.

Not only that, the Liushui cultural and tourism brand will also take advantage of this opportunity to promote itself to Hong Kong and Macao regions as well as Southeast Asian countries. Relying on the all-media channels of Hong Kong Business Daily, the beautiful scenery and cooperative policies of Liushui will continue to be disseminated to the Chinese communities in Hong Kong, Macao and Southeast Asia, forming a long-term external communication mechanism. Through regular invitations of travel agents from Hong Kong and overseas to conduct four-season themed tours, and by leveraging the communication networks in Hong Kong and overseas, the “Liushui tourism brand” will be gradually promoted, aiming to make Nanjing Liushui become a demonstration window for the opening up of the Yangtze River Delta to Hong Kong and Macao.

“Lishui has beautiful scenery and rich cultural heritage. This visit left a deep impression on me. I will recommend the local tourism resources related to Lishui to the local industry and the media when I return. Later, Lishui will also be included in the itinerary options for teams from Hong Kong and Southeast Asia.” Lin Hezhong, the president of the Hong Kong Inbound Tourism Reception Association, said. “We don’t just invite them to come and have a look; we aim to actually bring Hong Kong tourists in. Next, we will work with the contracted Hong Kong travel agencies to arrange schedules, set prices, and put them on the platform one by one. We want Lishui to become the ‘next destination’ in the hearts of Hong Kong tourists.” A relevant official from the Lishui Industrial Group said.
