From a once-small mechanical processing factory to an intelligent manufacturing enterprise with core technologies such as AGV robots, Nanjing Humei Automation Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Nanjing Humei”), which has been rooted in Shiqiu Subdistrict, Lishui District, Nanjing for 20 years, is currently experiencing a wonderful “transition from old tree to new branch”.
“Our robot orders for the first quarter have exceeded the total for the entire last year!” said Liu Jianzhao, the production supervisor of Nanjing Huma, pointing at the fully operational production line. “Last year, the company’s total output was 15 million yuan. This year, our goal is to double it to 30 million yuan. We are very confident.”
A 20-year-old factory, undergoing several rounds of transformation and upgrading
Entering the production workshop of Nanjing Heumo, a series of heavy-duty self-toppling handling vehicles and heavy-duty AGV handling robots are lined up one after another. The workers are working around the clock to rush to complete an order worth nearly 1.5 million yuan. These upcoming intelligent handling devices will be sent to places like Jiangsu and Guangdong, serving the local industries such as precision mold manufacturing, automobile manufacturing, and copper processing.

In 2006, Nanjing Huma was established;
In 2015, the company initiated its first major transformation – moving from ordinary mechanical processing to the manufacturing of intelligent and automated equipment;
In 2023, Huma took a more strategic step by officially establishing a research and development department, introducing a team of software engineers with decades of industry experience, and launching the first generation of AGV products, which are widely used in vehicle manufacturing, aerospace, and construction machinery industries, and have gained market recognition;
In early 2026, the company further improved the accuracy of its product positioning, opening up a wider market. With its outstanding technical strength and customized services, the company has established stable partnerships with well-known enterprises such as Jin Tian Copper Industry, Baowu Group, and Chery Commercial Vehicles.
From the industrial workshop, ascend to the concert stage
If the previous transformation was about strengthening internal capabilities, then this year, Huan Mao has witnessed a “spurt” in technology. After establishing a firm foothold in the traditional industrial sector, Huan Mao has showcased its “Lishui Manufacturing” strength in the application fields of entertainment and high-end scenarios.
Not long ago, a batch of heavy-duty mobile robots weighing 6 tons set off from Huan Mao and were transported to the concert venues of well-known domestic singers. “The stage set-up is large in size, heavy in weight, and requires precise movement on the stage. Even a slight error could cause prop collisions, which demands extremely high product accuracy,” Liu Jianzhao explained. The company’s product, which applies advanced hybrid navigation technology and motion control, achieves millimeter-level precise positioning and has been “immediately recognized” by customers.
Liu Jianzhao disclosed that this order is already the customer’s second batch of additional orders. The product’s versatile scene adaptation and extremely high stability have enabled the Huanma intelligent handling solution to achieve full-scene coverage from “industrial workshops” to “glittering stages”.
From the previous purely mechanical processing to the current dominance of the intelligent robot business, Nanjing Huanma has undergone a magnificent transformation. “Strictly speaking, we not only conduct research and development, but also provide solutions. The key is to help customers solve problems, reduce manpower, and control with software,” said Li Gang, the chairman of Nanjing Huanma. The company’s primary goal this year is to establish a stable foundation, and in the next three years, it plans to utilize AI technology to integrate areas such as mechanical fingers.
The “intelligent manufacturing” cluster effect in Shiqiu has become evident.
In Shiqiu Subdistrict, the rise of Nanjing Heumo is not an isolated case. An industrial upgrading process is accelerating. The subdistrict, leveraging its existing industrial foundation, has focused on the “industrial robot” segment of high-end intelligent manufacturing equipment, initiating a systematic industrial upgrading process.
As of now, Shiqiu has cumulatively attracted over 10 new projects worth over 100 million yuan, including Haobo Intelligent and Jingyao Intelligent. At the same time, it has promoted the transformation of local key enterprises towards intelligent production lines, and the agglomeration effect is gradually taking shape, becoming a new engine supporting the construction of a “billion-dollar” characteristic park in Shiqiu Subdistrict.
“From this new development starting point, the street will continue to deeply focus on the equipment manufacturing sub-sector, expand and strengthen the industrial robot cluster, deepen innovation-driven strategies, optimize the industrial ecosystem, and continuously push the industry towards higher-end, more intelligent and more clustered development,” said a relevant official from Shiqiu Street.
