Recently, good news has come again from Lishui’s innovative reform work of “transportation, postal services, express delivery and supply”
The construction of a district-level rural logistics centralized distribution center project with a total investment of nearly 250 million yuan has been completed
It is expected to be operational by the end of this year
According to the development plan, by the end of this year, the rural logistics in Lishui will present a brand-new picture: One by one, express packages will depart from the “core engine” of Lishui’s rural logistics – the district-level rural logistics centralized distribution center, be transferred through 8 town-level “Jiaoyou Kuai Supply +” service stations, and finally be delivered to the service points in each village by village and town buses, enabling villagers to conveniently send and receive express packages right at their doorstep.
The district-level rural logistics centralized distribution center is located to the west of Yuxiu Road and to the south of Xingzhuang Road in Yongyang Sub-district, covering an area of 40 mu and with a construction area of over 30,000 square meters. At present, the main construction of the project has been fully completed, and the investment promotion work is being pushed forward in full swing. Six express delivery enterprises, namely China Post, ZTO Express, YTO Express, STO Express, J&T Express and Yunda Express, have confirmed their entry.
This center is a key project of Lishui District in promoting the “Transportation, postal, express delivery and Supply +” reform. It will be equipped with automated and intelligent sorting, warehousing and other facilities and equipment. By guiding various express delivery enterprises to move in, it will achieve the full-process co-distribution of rural logistics at the district level and promote the cost reduction and efficiency improvement of “express delivery entering villages”. With the commissioning of this center, the three-level system of “transportation, postal, express delivery and supply” logistics stations at the district, town and village levels in Lishui District will be completed in a closed loop.
In recent years, Lishui District has fully leveraged the “multi-zone superposition” advantages of Nanjing National Agricultural High-tech Zone, National Urban-Rural Integration Development Pilot Zone, and National Airport Economic Demonstration Zone. It has actively explored an integrated model of “transportation, postal, express delivery, and supply +”, promoting the sharing of resources in public transportation, postal services, express delivery, and supply and marketing. Through resource integration, it has removed logistics bottlenecks and improved operational efficiency by combining points and areas. By leveraging deep coupling to expand service scenarios and promoting farmers’ income growth through collaborative distribution, the “first mile” of agricultural products entering cities and the “last mile” of consumer goods going to rural areas have been effectively smoothed. The relevant reform experiences have been successively selected as “Typical Cases of Comprehensive Deepening of Local Reforms in China in 2023” and “Typical Cases of High-quality Development of ‘Four Good Rural Roads’ Nationwide in 2024”, forming a new path for the integrated development of rural logistics that can be replicated and promoted.
