Lishui has a new historical and cultural landmark
According to the latest measures of Nanjing Civil Affairs Bureau, in order to thoroughly implement the requirements of the newly revised “Regulations on Place Name Management” of the State Council on strengthening the protection of place name culture, Nanjing Civil Affairs Bureau selected four old place names from the city-level place name cultural heritage list, made place name cultural heritage protection tablets, and protected place name cultural heritage in the form of erecting tablets and monuments. Lishui “Zhuangyuanfang” was successfully selected.
On the day when the stele was completed , the morning light shone and the Zhongshan Academy was peaceful. The craftsmen carefully raised a stele engraved with “Zhuangyuanfang” and the place name, and installed it on the built base. This place name stele is made of bluestone, simple and elegant, and the official script engraved is simple, dignified, calm and majestic, with both traditional charm and modern flavor.
The stele records in detail the historical origin of Zhuangyuanfang, Yu Li’s life and deeds, the original appearance of Zhuangyuanfang, and the repairs of successive dynasties. Ren Kunqi, deputy director of the District Civil Affairs Bureau, introduced that the Zhuangyuanfang place name stele installed this time is not only the same in specifications as the Wuyi Lane place name stele in Nanjing Confucius Temple, but also strives for excellence in design and production, striving to perfectly present the historical charm of Lishui Zhuangyuanfang, and provide citizens and tourists with a window to intuitively understand the history and culture of Zhuangyuanfang.
