The “Close and Clean Express – Face-To-Face with Government and Enterprises” special service activity for the high-quality development of modern agricultural industry in Nanjing, organized by the Municipal Committee of the United Front Work Department and the Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce, was successfully held in the Eastern Innovation Port of Nanjing National Agricultural High-tech Zone.
The delegation first visited the Agricultural High-tech Zone Planning Exhibition Hall, where they gained a detailed understanding of the strategic positioning, development plans, innovation platform construction and the latest scientific and technological achievements of the Agricultural High-tech Zone. They also experienced firsthand the zone’s proactive exploration and remarkable achievements in promoting the modernization of agricultural science and technology and the agglomeration development of industries.
The symposium and exchange meeting was presided over by Jiang Li, the chairperson of the Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce and the chairman of Nanjing Tianjia Environmental Technology Co., LTD. Chen Yongzhong, the chief agronomist of the Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, introduced the current development status, distinctive advantages and a series of policies benefiting enterprises and supporting agriculture of Nanjing’s modern agricultural industry. He also clarified the government’s firm determination and specific paths to promote the upgrading of the agricultural industry and support the innovative development of private agricultural enterprises.
In response to the demands and suggestions raised by the enterprises, the responsible persons from the relevant departments at both the municipal and district levels who attended the meeting gave positive responses. They carefully record and answer on the spot the matters that can be clarified. For the issues that need further research or coordination, they promise to take them back for careful sorting, classified handling, establish ledgers, and follow up on the progress to ensure that every concern of enterprises “receives a response and every matter has a conclusion”, truly solving problems for enterprises and optimizing the business environment.
Ding Ming, deputy minister of the United Front Work Department of the Nanjing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and secretary of the Party Group of the Nanjing Federation of Industry and Commerce, proposed in the meeting summary that: First, he hopes that all brother units can take the initiative to care about agriculture, rural areas and farmers and support the development of modern agriculture. Second, it is hoped that the Agricultural High-tech Zone can seize the important strategic opportunity of the “15th Five-Year Plan”, fully utilize the scientific and technological innovation advantages of Nanjing, cultivate new quality productive forces, accelerate the transformation of old and new growth drivers, and have a more concentrated and full manifestation in the field of modern agriculture. Thirdly, it is hoped that private entrepreneurs will provide high-quality products and create a better life for consumers with scientific and healthy concepts.
The deputy leaders and department heads of 11 departments including the Municipal Committee of the United Front Work Department, the Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce, and the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, as well as the relevant district leaders of Lishui District, the heads of the District Federation of Industry and Commerce and the Agricultural Bureau, and the relevant leaders of the Agricultural High-tech Zone attended the event.
