Purchasing new products, introducing technologies, discussing cooperation, exploring the future… Jiangsu is very “busy” at the 7th China International Import Expo! Over the past seven years, with the help of the CIIE, the cooperation between Jiangsu enterprises and domestic and foreign enterprises has become increasingly extensive. For the Jiangsu trade delegation, the CIIE is not only a platform for commodity procurement and trade negotiations, but also a stage for Jiangsu to show its open attitude and innovative vitality.
Taking the CIIE as an opportunity, through on-site negotiations, procurement matchmaking, and two-way trips, Jiangsu companies have continuously updated and upgraded themselves, from buying products and technologies to discussing cooperation and development. With its huge charm and potential, the Jiangsu market has attracted more and more multinational companies to invest and take root and grow in this fertile soil.
Honeywell, a “full-time student” of the seven CIIEs, focused on the three major development trends of automation, future aviation and energy transformation. It exhibited more than 100 innovative technologies, products and solutions, including many first-time products in China. The number of exhibits broke the record since its participation in the exhibition. From more than 50 square meters in the first session to the current 500 square meters, the exhibition area is getting bigger and bigger, and the harvest is getting more and more. With the help of the CIIE, Honeywell has gradually completed the transformation from an exhibitor to an investor. On the morning of November 8, in Hall 3 of the CIIE Technology and Equipment Exhibition Area, Honeywell and Copeland Environmental Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement on the spot. Starting with the CIIE, the two parties will launch a series of cooperation in the fields of fourth-generation hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) refrigerants and ultra-high temperature heat pump compressors. “During the 7th CIIE, we have signed more than 20 strategic cooperation agreements. Honeywell has always maintained close cooperation with many Jiangsu companies. We have factories in Nanjing, Suzhou and other places. Zhangjiagang has our entire Asia-Pacific innovation center.” The person in charge of Honeywell said that Jiangsu has a solid industrial foundation and obvious innovation advantages. In the future, Honeywell will continue to take root in Jiangsu and deepen its roots in Jiangsu to explore more cooperation in the fields of new energy, new materials, new economy and energy efficiency.
As a “full attendance student”, Schneider Electric made its seventh appearance in the CIIE technology and equipment exhibition area with the theme of “Digital Intelligence Newborn, Insight into the Future”, presenting a panoramic view of cutting-edge innovative technologies and transformation and upgrading experiences in multiple fields. Reporters learned that in addition to advanced technologies such as “Future Industry” and “Green Energy Management”, Schneider Electric also demonstrated its transformation achievements of deep integration of technology and management at this CIIE, including two Chinese factories in Wuxi, Shanghai, which were rated as “end-to-end lighthouse factories” by the World Economic Forum. Among them, the Wuxi factory is the only electronic capability manufacturing center among Schneider Electric’s 23 factories in China. It was promoted to a “lighthouse factory” in 2021, and achieved full-process innovation covering the end-to-end supply chain with digital technology. The production process is highly automated, information-based, and lean. Schneider Electric hopes that the two factories can provide reference and reference for more traditional enterprises to create new quality productivity, and also hopes that more Chinese companies will join hands with Schneider to share new development opportunities.
During the CIIE, Jiangsu held the Jiangsu Open Innovation Development International Consultation Conference with the theme of “Promoting high-level institutional opening-up and accelerating the construction of a two-way open hub”. More than 30 executives from multinational companies such as Philips, Emerson, and Bekaert attended the conference. At the conference, Fang Wei, Vice Governor of Jiangsu Province, pointed out that since the beginning of this year, Jiangsu has focused on promoting high-level opening-up and high-quality development, and the economic operation has shown strong resilience and continued to recover. Foreign-funded enterprises are an important part of Jiangsu’s economy. We look forward to further strengthening cooperation with multinational companies, jointly promoting industrial and technological innovation, deepening industrial chain and supply chain cooperation, and jointly promoting green and low-carbon transformation to achieve a higher level of mutual benefit and win-win results.
The seventh China International Import Expo has come to an end. Jiangsu has harvested a full “shopping cart” and opened its arms to welcome the global market. In the future, Jiangsu will continue to uphold the concept of openness and cooperation, expand the “spillover effect” of the China International Import Expo, deepen win-win cooperation with global companies, and write a new chapter in the modernization construction of a “strong, prosperous, beautiful and high-end” new Jiangsu.
