The 2025 China-Germany Forum on the Coordinated Development of Intelligent Connected Vehicle Industry was held

On August 20th, the “2025 China-Germany Forum on the Coordinated Development of Intelligent Connected Vehicle Industry” was held in Nanjing. Experts and representatives from Chinese and German automotive enterprises, industry organizations, research institutions, etc. gathered at the forum to have in-depth exchanges on cooperation in key areas such as policy trends, standard coordination, technological innovation, and data cooperation of intelligent connected vehicles, and jointly draw a new blueprint for the coordinated development of the industry. Guo Shougang, Deputy Director and First-Class Inspector of the Department of Equipment Industry I of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Lukas Meyer, Deputy Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Shanghai, Jiang Min, Vice Mayor of the Nanjing Municipal People’s Government, and other leaders attended the meeting and delivered speeches.

In recent years, Nanjing City has vigorously developed the intelligent connected vehicle industry and has been successively approved as a national pilot city for “vehicle-road-cloud integration” and “dual intelligence”. In the first half of this year, the city’s intelligent connected new energy vehicle industry chain achieved a revenue of 136.7 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year growth of 7.4%.

In terms of intelligence, the city has gathered nearly 100 high-growth enterprises in areas such as autonomous driving, intelligent perception, intelligent control, and intelligent connected communication equipment. A number of major innovation platforms for intelligent connected and new energy vehicles, including China Automotive Innovation and Intelligence and Zijinshan Laboratory, have been successively completed and put into operation. Moreover, 15 demonstration application scenarios for intelligent connected vehicles have been advanced and completed. It has achieved multi-point coverage in multiple fields such as smart public transportation, smart sanitation, and smart travel.

As an international, professional and high-end exchange platform, the China-Germany Forum on the Coordinated Development of the Intelligent Connected Vehicle Industry has achieved a series of fruitful results.

During the event, Chinese and German institutions and enterprises jointly released the list of C-V2X mass production trusted root certificates. Zhang Lin, the chief representative and general manager of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (China), gave a special presentation on “Sino-German Cooperation Promoting the Coordinated Development of Intelligent Connected Vehicles”. Chen Shanzhi, the deputy general manager of China Information and Communications Technology Group Co., Ltd. and the director of the National Engineering Research Center for Mobile Communications and Internet of Vehicles, delivered a special report on “Promoting the Pre-installation of C-V2X in Vehicles and Implementing High-Value Application Scenarios”. Ao Li, the chief engineer of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, interpreted the development history and significant role of the trusted root certificate list for the mass production application of C-V2X. Andes, Vice President of Business Development and Project Management of BMW China, Tan Minqiang, Party Secretary of China Automotive Innovation Technology Co., LTD., Wu Hanbing, Deputy Director of the Intelligent Connected Vehicle Department of China Automotive Standards Research Institute, Jiang Wei, Director of National Intelligent Connected Vehicle Quality Inspection and Testing Center (Hunan), Hanno, Managing Director of Catena-X Association A group of industry experts and entrepreneurs, including Focken, delivered keynote speeches respectively on “Deepening Sino-German Collaborative Cooperation to Jointly Unlock the New Driving Pleasure of Intelligent Connected Luxury”, “Technological Innovation Integration Facilitating High-Quality Overseas Expansion of Intelligent Connected Vehicles”, “Introduction to Standards and Regulations for Automotive Driving Automation”, “Inspection and Testing Facilitating High-Quality Overseas Expansion of Intelligent Connected Vehicles”, and “Data Space Empowering the Development of the Automotive Industry”.
