On May 29, the 2025 Annual Conference of the China Automotive Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance opened at the Nanjing International Expo Center. Luo Junjie, executive vice president of the China Machinery Industry Federation, Zhu Yanfeng, former chairman of Dongfeng Motor Group, and Sun Xueliang, foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered speeches respectively. Relevant leaders from the Equipment Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Equipment Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Nanjing Municipal Government, as well as responsible persons from relevant departments of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology and relevant departments of Nanjing City attended the opening ceremony.
This conference is themed on “Intelligent, Low-carbon, and Globalization”, including 1 main summit and 6 parallel sub-forums. The main summit focuses on “Development and Challenges of Solid-state Battery Technology”, systematically sharing achievements on the development status, technological innovation results, development trends, challenges faced, and corporate cases of the upstream and downstream of the solid-state battery industry chain at home and abroad. The parallel sub-forums revolve around issues such as “Application of Lithium Batteries in the Low-altitude Economy”, “AI Technology Empowering High-quality Development of Battery Industry”, “High-quality Development of Energy Storage Batteries and Safety Protection”, “New Developments in Advanced Materials for Power Batteries”, “Low-carbon Intelligent Dismantling and Recycling Reuse”, and “Smart Ultra-fast Charging for Electric Vehicles”. These forums comprehensively interpret and share hot and focal topics in the development of power batteries from perspectives such as intelligence, safety, low carbon, and greenness.
During the conference, nearly 1,000 expert representatives from vehicles, batteries, supply chains, industry institutions, universities and other industries gathered together, and key power battery enterprises such as Nanjing Guoxuan and LG New Energy participated in the conference to discuss the development of the power battery industry with industrial elites from all over the country. Liuhe Development Zone and Guolian Automotive Power Battery Research Institute Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement at the opening ceremony to jointly promote the high-quality development of Liuhe power battery industry.
The convening of this conference clarified the development status, trends and problems of the power battery industry, and has important guiding significance for the power battery field to participate in international competition and consolidate its leading position. At the same time, it also provides a high-end industrial exchange platform for relevant sectors and enterprises in our city, promotes the introduction of high-quality resources of national power batteries, and helps our city’s new energy vehicle industry to accelerate its development in the direction of clustering and high-end.
