From September 5th to 7th, the 2024 Nantong Cross-border E-commerce Selection Conference was successfully held at the Nantong International Convention and Exhibition Center, where Amazon, Lazada, Meikeduo, TikTok, Shein, Pinduoduo, AliExpress and other head platforms, sellers, comprehensive service providers and enterprises in Nantong’s local industrial belt gathered together to seize development opportunities and expand cooperation space. Zhang Tong, Deputy Secretary of the Nantong Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, Zhou Xiaoyang, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Commerce, and Wang Shanhua, President of the Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade, attended the opening ceremony. More than 300 high-quality suppliers inside and outside the province, service providers of the whole industry chain and international mainstream e-commerce platforms gathered to jointly promote cross-border e-commerce model innovation, service upgrading and ecological construction.
With the theme of “New Quality Overseas Trade Links to the World”, this event aims to create a comprehensive platform for the deep integration of “exhibition + conference”, integrating exhibition, exchange, cooperation and innovation, “bringing in” cross-border e-commerce resources, promoting enterprise transformation, and promoting foreign-related trade enterprises to “go global”, promote cross-border transactions, and help the high-quality development of the city’s cross-border e-commerce industry.
This year’s selection will set up a total of eight theme exhibition areas, 525 booths, the number of platforms and service organizations has increased significantly compared with last year, creating a comprehensive platform integrating display, exchange, cooperation and innovation, and the exhibition has attracted more than 120 buyers to select products.
In the head platform exhibition area, the mainstream cross-border e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Alibaba International Station, Meikeduo, Shein, and AliExpress are very optimistic about the future of Nantong’s cross-border e-commerce business, and provide on-site consultation and guidance for enterprises in operation selection, logistics and warehousing, cross-border payment, etc., at the exhibition site, so as to help more Nantong brands go overseas to make money.
In this selection meeting, 6 projects, including Chongchuan AI digital transformation project, Haimen home textile warehouse project, Rudong cross-border e-commerce industrial park project, Hai’an cross-border e-commerce comprehensive service project, export pre-warehouse project in the development zone, and Chongchuan multi-delivery regional headquarters project, were signed on site. During the period, more than 10 activities were also held, such as platform and industry promotion, “cross-border lecture hall”, cross-border e-commerce live broadcast competition and talent double selection meeting.
According to preliminary statistics, the total number of consultations will be 41,000, and the total number of intended customers will be about 4,500. The successful holding of the selection meeting will continue to promote the coordinated development model of “cross-border e-commerce + industrial belt” and forge a new highland for enterprises in the ind
