Innovation Fair was founded by Messe Stuttgart in Germany to promote cooperation between China and Europe in the fields of science and technology, investment and trade, and has been held three times before.This year’s matchmaking meeting attracted 41 enterprises, research institutions, chambers of commerce and universities from 10 European countries including Germany, Italy, Spain, Greece and Cyprus, involving artificial intelligence, green and low-carbon, high-end equipment manufacturing, digital information services, software engineering, cross-border trade and other industries.
Han Liming welcomed Francis · Lanidu and other guests to Nanjing, and introduced Nanjing’s history, humanities, and economic and social development.
At present, Nanjing is conscientiously implementing the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, implementing the construction of a new system of a higher-level open economy, expanding institutional opening-up, and deepening the reform of foreign investment and foreign investment management system, which will bring new opportunities for win-win cooperation between Nanjing and all walks of life in Europe.
It is hoped that through this event, we will continue to build and make good use of the docking platform and mechanism, and drive more EU enterprises and institutions to carry out in-depth cooperation with all parties in Nanjing in the fields of scientific and technological innovation, green economy, biomedicine, cultural tourism, and exhibitions.
Nanjing will continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation with Limassol and other European sister cities, increase the intensity of “bringing in” and “going out”, and provide a first-class international business environment for the majority of foreign-funded enterprises.
Francis · Lani said that through this visit, he was deeply impressed by Nanjing’s ecological beauty, history and culture, scientific and educational resources and urban charm.
Cyprus will actively respond to the Belt and Road Initiative, strengthen exchanges and exchanges between Limassol and Nanjing, and deepen practical cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, culture, tourism, science and technology, and education.
Liu Yantao said that the matchmaking meeting fully reflects the confidence and expectation of the European business community in industrial cooperation with China, and is becoming a mechanism platform for China-EU economic and trade docking cooperation.
It is hoped that Nanjing will take the opportunity of serving as the first Chinese rotating chair city of the China-Cyprus Sister Cities Alliance to continue to strengthen exchanges and exchanges between the business community and young people, and make greater contributions to consolidating China-Cyprus friendship and cooperation.
At the matchmaking meeting, the European Enterprise Service Center (Nanjing) was unveiled, and relevant agreements were signed between Germany HDAO Group and Jianye District, China-Serbia Friendship Promotion Association and Nanjing Stuttgart Joint Exhibition Company, Austria KObV Medical Group and Jianye High-tech Zone, Barcelona Manresa Chamber of Commerce in Spain and the Municipal Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export.
Six project promotion activities were also held at the meeting, including digital economy and information services, cross-border trade and investment, green and low-carbon, intelligent manufacturing, smart grid and equipment manufacturing, universities and associations.
