From September 11th to 13th, the “Postal Savings Cup” 9th Jiangsu Rural Entrepreneurship Competition came to an end at the Garden Expo Park in Lianyungang City. The “Su CAI You Yuan” project from Nanjing Purin Organic Agriculture Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as “Purin Agriculture”) stood out among 54 final projects across the province and won the first prize in the comprehensive growth group, becoming a remarkable benchmark for rural entrepreneurship and innovation in Lishui.
This competition is hosted by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Jiangsu Province, with the theme of “Innovation Ignites Rural Entrepreneurship, Industry Empowers Revitalization”. After going through the rigorous screening of the preliminary and semi-final rounds, 54 high-quality projects engaged in fierce competition through on-site centralized roadshows and defenses. It is worth noting that the “Su CAI You Yuan” project won the championship in the 9th Nanjing Rural Entrepreneurship and Innovation Project Creativity Competition held in early September.
This time, it represented Nanjing in the provincial competition and won high recognition from the judging panel composed of experts in the agricultural and rural fields and university experts with its remarkable innovation, feasibility and market competitiveness.
Nanjing Purin Organic Agriculture Co., LTD., as a star enterprise promoting rural prosperity and income increase in Jingqiao Town, is also a “new farmer” enterprise that has received high attention from the district and town-level Communist Youth League committees. The advanced journey of “Su CAI You Yuan” from winning the municipal competition to claiming the provincial championship is also a practical case where “new farmers” can make significant contributions on the front line of rural revitalization.
In terms of ideological guidance and talent aggregation, Purun Organic attaches great importance to guiding young people to establish the aspiration of taking root in rural areas and serving agriculture. It actively builds youth organizations, strengthens ideological guidance for rural youth, and encourages them to integrate their personal growth into the overall situation of rural revitalization.
In terms of precise cultivation and skills empowerment, we actively carry out practical skills training and, relying on the “Rural Partners” program of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, actively cultivate young “new farmers” such as rural professional managers and high-quality young farmers.
In terms of resource integration and platform construction, we actively coordinate various resources, build Bridges for school-enterprise cooperation, production and sales connection platforms, and internship and practice bases. In 2024, the base focused on expanding 300 mu of intelligent greenhouses, and in 2025, the base plans to expand another 200 mu of intelligent greenhouses, creating favorable conditions for young people to take root in rural areas.
In terms of serving the grassroots and providing practical assistance, the Dunren Academy Public Welfare Summer Camp has been established for 14 years. Over the past 14 years, the enterprise has invested more than 1.5 million yuan in special funds and recruited over 200 volunteers, providing free summer camp services to more than 1,500 rural children in the local area and its surrounding regions.
With its outstanding quality, in 2023, Tai Cun Pu Ren Organic Vegetable Base became the first “Hema Village” in Nanjing and simultaneously obtained the qualification for a vegetable production base for Hong Kong supply in Nanjing. In the first half of 2025, the company’s output value reached over 50 million yuan, doubling year-on-year. The cooperation with platforms such as Hema and Dingdong Maicai has driven a 150% increase in sales through high-end channels.
The development of the project not only brings considerable economic benefits to the enterprise, but also bears the “fruits of common prosperity” in the process of enriching the people through industries. With the support of the central special lottery public welfare funds, Jingqiao Town, taking Puren Agriculture as the leading enterprise, has established a benefit connection mechanism of “enterprise + village collective + farmers”, and is fully committed to building a 10,000-mu high-standard organic vegetable industrial park, forming a modern vegetable industry system featuring large-scale planting, standardized production and market-oriented marketing.
In 2024, the average income per mu of 10,000 mu of vegetables in the whole town increased by 9,000 yuan. Li Quanying, who was packing vegetables at the intelligent sorting center, told Xiaoli, “Working right at my doorstep allows me to take care of the elderly at home and earn over 5,000 yuan every month. It’s really great!” Zhang Jun, the Party branch secretary of Tai Village, calculated a “common prosperity account” : The base pays over 400,000 yuan in land rent to villagers every year, directly driving 150 villagers to find employment near their homes, with an average annual income increase of about 70,000 yuan per person. The village collective increased its annual income by 1.26 million yuan through methods such as renting greenhouses and distributing dividends from facilities.
By 2025, the Taicun Organic vegetable base will expand its smart greenhouses by another 300 mu, continuously enhancing its technological level and production capacity, and building a high-end agricultural product supply chain hub in the Yangtze River Delta. The rural entrepreneurship competition not only provides us with a platform for publicity and display, but also helps us turn good projects into good products and promote good products to a larger market through mentor training and resource connection.
