On October 25, the Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee and the Municipal Party Committee Finance and Economics Committee held a meeting to study the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s recent important speeches and instructions, convey the spirit of Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang’s speech during his research in Jiangsu and the requirements of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Finance and Economics Committee on October 21, analyze the economic situation in the first three quarters, and make arrangements for doing a good job in the fourth quarter of the economy. The meeting was chaired by Han Liming, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee.
On October 23, the Nanjing Regional Shipping and Logistics Center Construction Promotion Meeting was held. At the meeting, the “Nanjing Regional Shipping and Logistics Center Development Special Plan (2024-2035)”, “Nanjing Port Master Plan (2024-2035)” and the list of key projects of the shipping and logistics center were released, and the municipal government and the Provincial Port Group signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement. On October 26, Han Liming conducted research in Gaochun District on how to win the battle to stabilize growth and plan next year’s economic work. On October 22, the municipal government signed a strategic cooperation memorandum with GE Healthcare (China) Co., Ltd.; on the 25th, the municipal government signed a cooperation memorandum with China Electronics Information Industry Group Co., Ltd.

Jiangbei New District:
Promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements of universities
On October 26, the Jiangbei New Area held a Party Working Committee meeting and a study meeting of the Party Working Committee’s Theoretical Study Center Group to convey and study the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s recent important speeches and instructions, exchange and discuss the results of deepening reform research, and study the holding of the 2024 China University Science and Technology Achievements Fair and the first National University Regional Technology Transfer and Transformation Center Achievements Exhibition and other key tasks.
On the same day, Jiangbei New Area and Nanjing University of Science and Technology signed a strategic cooperation agreement, and the Analog Integrated Circuit Committee of Jiangsu Integrated Circuit Society was unveiled. At the scene, Nanjing University of Science and Technology also signed cooperation projects with new area enterprises such as Guanqun Information Technology, Moduli Semiconductor, Sinopec Nanjing Chemical Industry, and Nanjing Automobile Group on “Research and Development of Key Technologies for Spaceborne Radiation-resistant Satellite Communication Phased Array Chips and Systems”, “Research and Development of Multi-physical Domain Optimization and Simulation of Low-altitude Radar Array SIP Component Systems”, “Research and Development of Chemical Safety and Control Robot Systems Based on Embodied Intelligence”, and “Research and Development of Key Technologies for Modular Domain Control Platforms of Intelligent Connected Vehicles”.
From October 22 to 24, the finals of the 2024 Jiangsu Youth Entrepreneurship Competition were held in Jiangbei New Area. After fierce competition, 72 projects stood out and won the first, second and third prizes of the competition. Ten units including Nanjing Youth League Committee, Nanjing University Youth League Committee and Nanjing Agricultural University Youth League Committee won the Outstanding Organization Award. Among them, the projects recommended by the New Area won 1 first prize, 2 second prizes and 3 third prizes.
On October 23, the 2024 Jiangsu Green Finance Development Conference and the Jiangbei New Area Financial Industry Supporting the Green and Low-carbon Transformation of the Real Economy Conference were held. At the event, the New Area Management Committee signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Jiangsu Bank, and also announced the “2023 Jiangsu Province Green Finance Advanced Unit” and “2023 Jiangsu Province Green Finance Excellent Case”. The first green asset-backed commercial paper in Jiangsu Province of the New Area Green Financing Guarantee Co., Ltd. and Yangtze Technology Financial Leasing were selected.
On October 24, the “Job Fair in the New District” was held for young people seeking employment in the autumn of 2024. 33 companies launched 800 jobs to provide a good place for young talents to work.
Xuanwu District:
Legal Centre fully operational

On October 23, Xuanwu Legal Affairs Center was fully put into use, and the first Jiangsu-Hong Kong joint law firm in Jiangsu, the Fadedong Hengke Wuchen (Nanjing) Joint Law Firm, Xuanwu District Public Legal Service Center, and Xuanwu District Social Conflicts and Disputes Mediation and Resolution Center were unveiled. As a comprehensive legal industry center, Xuanwu Legal Affairs Center has a new construction concept and high planning standards. It is an important symbol of the transformation and upgrading of Xuanwu’s service industry, and a remarkable achievement in the expansion and opening up of the legal services industry.
On October 22, Xuanwu District went to Shanghai to carry out exchanges and inspection activities to learn from the experience and practices of Shanghai International Data Port in cross-border data flow, infrastructure construction, and ecological aggregation, and promote the establishment of cooperative relations.

Qinhuai District:
Education has another double benefit
On October 22, the topping-out ceremony of the education supporting projects on both sides of Fuhua Road in the Southern New City was held, marking that the school-local cooperation and co-construction will soon open up a new track, the educational ecology of the Southern New City is shaping new advantages, the territory of the Nanjing Normal University Affiliated High School educational consortium will be further expanded, and the people’s sense of gain in education will surely be enhanced.
On October 22, Southeast University and Nanjing Normal University Affiliated Qinhuai Science and Technology High School held a signing ceremony for the establishment of the “Wu Jianxiong Class”. The establishment of the “Wu Jianxiong Class” is a landmark achievement of the “cooperative education” of both parties, heralding a new stage in the cooperation between the two sides.
Recently, the Yangsheng Fangcao section of the Longdi Road special street renovation project in the Southern New City was completed and opened. The project not only created a special landscape of traditional Chinese medicine culture in conjunction with the Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, but also showcased the water-friendly and vibrant street style of the Southern New City.
