On May 22, the expert workstation of the Agricultural Health Research Center of Nanjing Agricultural University was officially unveiled in Zhishan Village, Jingqiao Town, Lishui District, and the General Party Branch of the Frontier Interdisciplinary Research Institute of Nanjing Agricultural University and the General Party Branch of Zhishan Village “Party Building and Joint Construction Cohesion Innovation Workshop” were unveiled at the same time.

In recent years, Jingqiao Town has comprehensively promoted the construction of Nanjing Urban Modern Agricultural Industry Demonstration Park, maintained close contact and cooperation with Nanjing Agricultural University and other scientific research institutions, jointly promoted the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and helped scientific and technological innovation and industrial integration and development. Caozhuang Selenium-rich Ecological Industrial Park in Zhishan Village has become the Lishui Base of the Institute of Agricultural Resources and Ecological Environment of Nanjing Agricultural University and the off-campus teaching practice base of the College of Resources and Environment of Nanjing Agricultural University, and Zhishan Village has become the first batch of ecological recycling agriculture pilot villages in the province.
According to reports, the newly established expert workstation of the Agricultural Health Research Center of Nanjing Agricultural University will make full use of the technology, human resources and advanced and mature technological achievements of Nanjing Urban Modern Agricultural Industry Demonstration Park and Nanjing Agricultural University in Jingqiao Town, and comprehensively build a new rural service base integrating scientific research and demonstration and promotion, technical training and achievement transformation, and talent training around the agricultural health industry, so as to promote the common development of professions and industries, and strive to achieve “school-local cooperation, industry-university-win-win”.
In terms of the development of the agricultural economy under the forest, we will focus on the implementation of the construction plan of Baicao Garden, relying on local tourism and homestay resources, select more than 100 kinds of common medicinal plants suitable for local understory planting, carry out large-scale planting of 1,000 acres, and create a characteristic and efficient agricultural industry; With the construction of health care for middle-aged and elderly people and the construction of research bases for primary and secondary school students as the starting point, combined with digital twin technology, the medicinal plant garden with the largest single area and the largest variety of medicinal plants in Jiangsu Province will be built, leading the development of tourism and pension industry.
In terms of improving the quality and efficiency of organic vegetables, the focus is on the expansion of vegetable varieties and the selection of suitable varieties. Relying on the long-term accumulation and advantages of Nanjing Agricultural University in vegetable disciplines, 2-3 kinds of vegetables suitable for local planting, disease resistance and insect resistance were systematically screened, and 3-5 high-resistance varieties suitable for local planting were screened. Relying on the advantageous disciplines of plant protection of Nanjing Agricultural University, we will create 2-3 sets of green plant protection technology solutions to meet the needs of organic planting.
