Recently, the 2025 National Science and Technology Award was announced. In this annual review, which represents the highest hall of China’s science and technology industry, Jiangbei New Area handed over a gold-plated answer: eight scientific and technological achievements won by 9 enterprises in the new area, including 7 second prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress Award and 1 second prize of the National Technology Invention Award.

The State Science and Technology Award is the highest specification award in the field of science and technology in our country. It is reviewed once every two years. It consists of five categories: State Natural Science Award, State Technological Invention Award, State Scientific and Technological Progress Award, State Supreme Science and Technology Award, and International Science and Technology Cooperation Award of the People’s Republic of China.
A total of 258 projects and 11 science and technology experts have been selected for the 2025 National Science and Technology Awards. Among them, 8 projects completed by enterprises in the new area have won awards, covering many hardcore tracks such as life health and high-end manufacturing.
This is not only the most intuitive footnote of the main position of enterprise innovation in the new area, but also a strong proof of the deep integration of scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation. Here, the “golden ideas” in the laboratory not only impact the peak of the “neck” technology, but also quickly move to the production line and integrate into the big market.

According to statistics, up to now, the new area focuses on the global frontier field and has landed 8 national innovation platforms such as the National Integrated Circuit Design Automation Technology Innovation Center and the National Key Laboratory of Materials Chemical Engineering. At the same time, excellent talents and high-quality projects continue to gather, and enterprises continue to make breakthroughs in science and technology. Within two years, more than 500 R&D achievements in the area have been put into production, and more than 1,000 science and technology projects imported from outside the area have been put into production.
In the future, more scientific and technological achievements of the “First Initiative” will take root in the new area.
The National Science and Technology Award is the “touchstone” to test the quality of urban innovation.
