These “going global” facilitation measures are great 👇
The foreign trade express barge “accelerates” to reach Shanghai directly in 25 hours, reducing the transportation time by 1 to 2 days
On November 20th, the “Nanjing – Shanghai” foreign trade express barge fully loaded with washing machines, refrigerators, monitors and other goods left the Longtan Container Terminal of Nanjing Port and directly transferred to an international navigation vessel at the Yangshan Port Area of Shanghai to set sail.
The “Nanjing – Shanghai” foreign trade feeder express service refers to the foreign trade barges that depart from Nanjing Port and do not call at other ports along the Yangtze River during the journey. According to the docking situation of the transiting sea vessels in Shanghai, they directly reach the corresponding ports in Shanghai. Since the launch of the Yangshan Express service between Nanjing Port and Shanghai Port and the Waigaoqiao Express service between Nanjing Port and Shanghai Port, there are currently eight stable flights per week.
“Generally, it takes about 25 hours to reach Waigaoqiao and 33 hours to reach Yangshan. Compared with the past, it can save 1 to 2 days of time cost for Nanjing’s foreign trade enterprises to export,” said MAO Liang, deputy manager of the Navigation Management Department of the Container Shipping Division of Sinotrans Yangtze River Co., LTD.

To further enhance the logistics operation efficiency of Nanjing enterprises going global, Xinshengwei Customs, relying on the “customs – port – enterprise” coordination and liaison mechanism, has learned in advance about the export shipping schedules and other situations of enterprises, guided enterprises to comprehensively apply the customs clearance facilitation models such as “advance declaration + appointment inspection”, achieved the immediate review of documents upon declaration, and accelerated the logistics operation efficiency. At the same time, we will promote 100% coverage of the paperless mode throughout the entire customs transfer process, achieve automatic review and release after the customs transfer form is declared, and ensure the smooth operation of the “river-sea combined transport” channel.
We have set up consultation Windows in the customs declaration hall to provide business guidance for enterprises on commodity classification, standardized declaration and other aspects, helping them solve practical problems in customs clearance, accelerating the development of the “Yangtze River Express” channel, and promoting the construction of Nanjing as a regional shipping and logistics center. A relevant person in charge of the First Supervision Section of Xinshengwei Customs said.
According to statistics
Since the launch of the “Nanjing – Shanghai” domestic express shipping service for foreign trade, a total of 206,200 TEUs of goods have been exported by express shipping from Nanjing Port, covering household appliances, daily necessities, equipment parts and other types of goods.
The “diversification” of channels makes the way out to sea wider

In addition to water express shipping, Nanjing’s international logistics network is blooming in full swing
In the first ten months of this year, the customs in Nanjing area ensured the export customs clearance of 204 China-Europe freight trains, supervised 17,000 TEUs of containers, and the value of the goods reached 60.79 billion yuan. The innovative model of “China-Europe Railway Express + Bonded Zone” in Nanjing has been awarded as an outstanding case of multimodal transport in China.
Nanjing Lukou Airport has become an important radiation channel for cross-border e-commerce within the province and its surrounding areas. The “same package, same vehicle” smart supervision experience innovatively launched by Jinling Customs, a subsidiary of Nanjing Customs, in the comprehensive bonded zone has been replicated and promoted nationwide.
We will steadily promote the opening up of ports to the outside world, and work in tandem with customs, ports and enterprises to facilitate the opening of berths for liqueurs, ship repair and construction, and auto roll-on/roll-off services. We will also open up new channels for the export of complete vehicles by automakers in the Yangtze River Basin and support the development of auto roll-on/roll-off exports and foreign vessel repair businesses.
From “water express” to “land freight train”, from traditional goods to cross-border e-commerce, Nanjing is adopting a more open attitude and providing more efficient services to connect the domestic and international dual circulation
