Over 100 brands“Jinling Flavored Rice” annual sales exceed 30 million
On November 19, at the rice production base of Nanjing Sanyuan Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. in Wucunqiao Village, Hefeng Town, Lishui District, the dryer was running at full capacity. The freshly harvested rice will be processed into the company’s own brand “Wugudao” rice after drying.
“Wugudao” was founded in 2018, using the rice variety “Nanjing 46”. The brand’s annual sales currently exceed 500,000 yuan. Chen Jun, general manager of Sanyuan Agriculture, introduced that “Wugudao” has gradually established offline stores and supply and marketing platforms, and has carried out long-term cooperation with 16 enterprises and institutions, and has won many honors such as the Jiangsu Good Rice Silver Award and the Nanjing Good Rice Special Award. “From selling grain to selling rice, brand building has driven the company’s annual income to increase by 35%.” Chen Jun said happily.
In Nanjing, more and more agricultural entities are starting to establish their own rice brands. According to incomplete statistics, there are more than 100 registered rice brands in the city, of which Liuhe District has the largest number, more than 50, and Lishui District and Gaochun District have more than 20 each.
Many well-known brands have emerged in the city, including “Mingwen”, “Aijin”, “Gongzheng”, “Chunhe”, “Qianbaobao” and “Qiuya”, and have won many honors including the “Jiangsu Good Rice” special prize and gold prize.
In addition, Lishui’s “Qiuhu” rice was recognized as a well-known Chinese trademark with sales exceeding 100 million yuan, and Jiangning Chunhua Street’s “Tuqiao Rice” was awarded the National Agricultural Product Geographical Indication Certificate.
