According to the plan, Nanjing North Railway Station will set up 3 fields and 16 sets of 30 lines, and 5 sets of 9 lines of high-speed rail yards from north to south, introducing the North Yangtze River high-speed railway, which is also the largest hub passenger station along the North Yangtze River High-speed Railway.
There are 6 sets of 12 lines in the intercity field, and the introduction of Ninghuai intercity, Ningchubang intercity, Shangyuanmen railway cross-river channel, can directly reach central Jiangsu, northern Jiangsu and Anhui and other central provinces and regions, Ninghuai and Huai will achieve access within half an hour;
There are 5 sets of 9 lines in the general speed field, and the Beijing-Shanghai Railway and the Nanjing-Qizhou Railway are introduced to provide more transportation lines connecting the whole country to the northern area of Nanjing.
As the only railway hub in Nanjing that integrates high-speed rail, intercity and general-speed railway, Nanjing North Railway Station has an omnidirectional departure capacity. At the beginning of March this year, the “Preliminary Design of Nanjing North Railway Station and Related Projects” (hereinafter referred to as the “Preliminary Design”) was jointly approved by China Railway Group and Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government.
Nanjing North Railway Station is located at the intersection of the east-west riverside passage and the north-south Guangdong-Haihai channel, which is one of the “three main passenger stations” of Nanjing railway hub and the largest hub passenger station along the North Yangtze River high-speed railway.
Nanjing North Railway Station is located in the forest farm area, with Laoshan Mountain in the south, Zhujiashan River in the north, 10 kilometers away from the main city center of Jiangbei, 18 kilometers away from the center of Jiangnan Xinjiekou, and 50 kilometers away from Nanjing Lukou International Airport.

According to the planning and preliminary design scheme, the station yard of Nanjing North Railway Station is 710 meters long from east to west, 637 meters long from north to south, and the station building has a total of 6 floors, including 4 floors above ground and 2 floors underground, from top to bottom are the elevated waiting floor, the national railway platform floor, the national railway outbound floor, the urban corridor layer, the first underground floor and the second underground floor.
The Nanjing North Railway Station project will follow the idea of “integration of station and city, integration of industry, city and people”, to create a new urban area integrating transportation, residence, commerce, commerce and scientific and technological innovation, comprehensively enhance Nanjing’s function as an international comprehensive transportation hub city, and effectively promote the integrated development of the province across the river and the integrated high-quality development of the Yangtze River Delta.03
