On the afternoon of December 26, Nanjing’s “Thousand Schools and Ten Thousand Enterprises” Zijin Action visited the School of Artificial Intelligence of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. The school’s researchers introduced the latest research results on brain-computer intelligence, machine learning, and large models. National “little giants” enterprises Nanjing Quankong Aviation Technology Co., Ltd. and Xiaoshi Technology (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. released technical requirements, and the Nanjing Artificial Intelligence Computing Center of Jiangbei New District introduced computing resources.
As the only city in the province approved to create a national artificial intelligence innovation and application pilot zone, Nanjing has actively seized opportunities in recent years, actively laid out around core elements such as algorithms, computing power, data, scenarios, and ecology, and promoted the demonstration and application of artificial intelligence in key industries and fields such as manufacturing, medicine and health. The School of Artificial Intelligence of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics has key laboratories of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Education, such as “Brain-computer intelligence technology”, “Pattern analysis and machine intelligence”, and “Software development and verification technology for high-security systems”, as well as the Huawei Intelligent Base Ministry of Education School-Enterprise Collaborative Education Platform and Jiangsu Province (ZTE) Intelligent Transportation Internet of Things Engineering Technology Research Center. It has strong scientific research strength, and has achieved remarkable results in serving industrial development and corporate innovation. It has achieved domestic leading research results in machine learning, brain-computer intelligence, artificial intelligence and other research fields, and has certain international influence. According to the needs of the companies’ early feedback, 38 companies were divided into groups during the event and had in-depth exchanges and discussions with the three scientific research teams of the college.
Since the beginning of this year, the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology has successively joined hands with Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, Jinling Institute of Technology, Southeast University, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications and other universities in Nanjing to continue to carry out the Zijin Action of “Thousand Schools and Ten Thousand Enterprises” for specialized, precise and innovative enterprises, accelerate the transfer and transformation of university intellectual property rights and scientific and technological achievements to enterprises, and help the specialized, precise and innovative enterprise group achieve leapfrog growth.
At present, the city has cultivated a total of 31 national manufacturing single champion enterprises, with 13 new ones added this year, ranking first in the province and fourth in the country; it has cultivated a total of 334 national specialized and innovative “little giants” enterprises, with more than 100 new ones added for two consecutive years, and 121 new ones added this year, ranking sixth in the country.
A relevant person in charge of the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology said that Nanjing’s Zijin Action for “Thousands of Schools and Tens of Thousands of Enterprises” for specialization, precision and innovation will further focus on subdivided fields, deeply tap the scientific research resources of colleges, carry out school-enterprise collaborative innovation matching activities with small incisions and emphasis on effectiveness, promote the integrated development of scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation, and stimulate the emergence of more leading single champion enterprises and specialization, precision and innovation enterprises.
