Move forward towards the new, achieve great things with wisdom! The “AI + Chemistry” signing ceremony was held in the new district.

On January 15th, the “Moving Forward Towards New Horizons, Achieving Greatness through Intelligence” signing ceremony for the Nanjing Jiangbei New District Materials Science Park, the National Key Laboratory of Precise Intelligent Chemistry of the University of Science and Technology of China, and the “AI + Chemistry” project of the Andis Group was held. Party Secretary and District Chief of Jiangbei New District, Lu Weidong, Vice President of the University of Science and Technology of China, Fu Yao, and Vice Chairman and General Manager of Andis China Region, Ru Chengjun, attended the event.

The National Key Laboratory of Precision Intelligent Chemistry at the University of Science and Technology of China is positioned at the forefront of global science and technology. It focuses on the key scientific issue of how to transform the research paradigm in chemistry. The laboratory has already developed systematic research capabilities and a profound research foundation in areas such as intelligent computing, machine learning, and automated experiments. It will provide cutting-edge theoretical models and technical support for the industrial development of the new area. Anidis Group, as a world-renowned expert in animal nutrition under China National Chemical Corporation, has always taken filling industry gaps and leading industrial upgrading as its mission. It has invested over 10 billion yuan in the new area, establishing the world’s largest liquid methionine production base with an annual capacity of 3.5 million tons.

Lu Weidong stated that the National Key Laboratory of Precise Intelligent Chemistry at the University of Science and Technology of China is a strategic national scientific and technological force leading the transformation of chemical research paradigms. Anidis Group is a core enterprise in the life science sector of Sinochem. This signing event is a vivid demonstration of the synergy of top universities, leading enterprises, and advantageous parks, which promotes the realization of innovation-driven research paradigm transformation and industrial level enhancement. Looking to the future, it is hoped that all parties will ignite the strong engine of original innovation with “AI + basic research”, create a new benchmark for industrial transformation with “AI + industrial application”, and build an excellent path for integrated development with “AI + ecosystem construction”, jointly writing a brand new chapter in the “artificial intelligence +” era, and providing strong support for Nanjing to build a main carrier area for an industry innovation and technology center with global influence.

Fu Yao stated that the “AI + Chemistry” research at the University of Science and Technology of China, by leveraging the existing research foundation and the current trends in the discipline, aims to establish a dual-drive model for precise and intelligent chemical research. The goal is to help solve industry problems such as long trial-and-error cycles, high costs, and low rates of technology transfer in industrial scenarios. Currently, the university has collaborated with numerous domestic leading enterprises in fields like resource development, resource transformation, and pharmaceutical chemistry, creating open technological application scenarios and gathering high-quality resources from the “AI + Chemistry” dual industry chain. Building on this signing, the University of Science and Technology of China will join hands with Nanjing Jiangbei New Materials Science and Technology Park to establish an innovation platform for industry-university-research collaboration. This will further enhance talent exchanges and training, and accelerate the innovation and incubation of high-quality projects in areas such as artificial intelligence and new materials.

At the event, Nanjing Jiangbei New District New Materials Science Park signed a memorandum of cooperation with the National Key Laboratory of Precise Intelligent Chemistry of the University of Science and Technology of China for an artificial intelligence application cooperation center. The two parties will focus on the industrial advantages of Nanjing Jiangbei New District New Materials Science Park and the research capabilities of the University of Science and Technology of China in the cutting-edge fields of artificial intelligence, big data analysis, and precise intelligent chemistry, to establish a regular cooperation mechanism and promote the intelligent upgrade and digital transformation of enterprises in Nanjing Jiangbei New District New Materials Science Park. Ansius Group signed a “AI + Chemistry” synthesis research and development laboratory cooperation agreement with the National Key Laboratory of Precise Intelligent Chemistry of the University of Science and Technology of China. The two parties will rely on the cutting-edge capabilities of the University of Science and Technology of China in the “AI + Chemistry” field to promote in-depth collaboration between Ansius pilot base and AI research platform, jointly create a smart laboratory demonstration benchmark in the new district, accelerate the transformation of laboratory results into industrialization, and build a complete “research – pilot – industry” integrated innovation ecosystem.
