As you drive along Hui Gu Road, your gaze will inevitably be drawn to a “super project” – this is the first phase of the China Mobile Yangtze River Delta (Nanjing) Science and Innovation Center, which has attracted much attention since its construction began.
The New Year is approaching, and there is also good news for the project: The first phase of the China Mobile Yangtze River Delta (Nanjing) Science and Innovation Center has completed the construction of Areas A and B. It is currently in the final stages of completion and system debugging, with various equipment being gradually delivered, and all the preparations for occupancy are in full swing.
In the coming year, many professional companies and innovation units of China Mobile will start the relocation and move in. Over 4,000 researchers and staff will gather here.
The China Mobile Yangtze River Delta (Nanjing) Innovation and Science Center is located in the Science City of Jiangbei New District. The total construction area of the A and B sections is approximately 221,000 square meters, and there are 6 research and development office buildings.
From a high-altitude view, the exterior of the center is modern and smooth, with well-arranged greenery landscapes between the buildings. A road connects the A and B sections, forming an open park layout.
“Currently, the overall construction work has been completed. There are nearly 100 workers on site doing the final meticulous cleaning. Some floors have already received office desks, chairs, and equipment being delivered.” A relevant staff member from Jiangbei New District Science City introduced. In the near future, the road between the A and B sections will also be rapidly renovated and connected to the surrounding road network.
What functions does this “super project” serve?
It is reported that this place will become the headquarters and R&D office building of China Mobile Jiangsu Company in the Yangtze River Delta region, as well as an independent innovation pilot zone and modern industrial cluster area that China Mobile is vigorously developing in the Yangtze River Delta region. In the future, advanced layout of 6G communication technology, intelligent connection, intelligent hardware, chip modules, industrial internet, blockchain, artificial intelligence middle platform, and product development in digital content fields will all be carried out here.
A headquarters base and “smart brain” naturally requires the convergence of numerous forces.
According to the plan, multiple professional companies and innovation units of China Mobile will be located here: Migu Interactive Entertainment Co., Ltd. will fully occupy Buildings B1 and B2; China Mobile Zijin (Jiangsu) Innovation Research Institute will accelerate research and in Building A3； a number of “powerful players” such as China Mobile IoT and China Mobile TieTong Jiangsu Branch have also arrived simultaneously， with the number of occupants exceeding 4，000.
All core businesses and innovation sections are gathered here. The concentration of geographical location will significantly enhance the collaborative efficiency and Technology transferwill also form a powerful industrial agglomeration effect. Especially with the influx of over 4，000 highly qualified talents， it not only injects strong vitality into regional development， but also further enriches the industrial ecosystem of Jiangbei in communication technology， digital economy and other fields.
It is known that to ensure the work and life of everyone, relevant supporting facilities have been introduced. For instance, both areas have set up staff canteens, as well as outdoor sports spaces such as tennis courts, football fields, and basketball courts. There are also apartments, parking lots, convenience stores, and other living service facilities nearby, and they will be quickly established.
