The Shanghai-Nanjing-Hefei high-speed railway
(Hereinafter referred to as the Shanghai-Nanjing-Hefei High-Speed Railway)
The latest development has arrived.
On January 7th, at the construction site of Dongge Village, Yongning Sub-district, the construction of the Nanjing Special Bridge of the newly-built Shanghai-Nanjing-Hefei High-Speed Railway (hereinafter referred to as the Shanghai-Nanjing-Hefei High-Speed Railway) achieved a new breakthrough.
This “steel giant” with a total weight of 6,300 tons successfully crossed the operational trunk line of the Beijing-Shanghai Railway after a 60-minute counterclockwise rotation of 60 degrees, achieving precise rotation and closure. This marks a breakthrough in the construction of the Shanghai-Nanjing-Hefei High-Speed Railway project and opens up a key channel for the subsequent box girder erection.

The continuous beam is 97.5 meters in total length. Its main body is a prestressed concrete box girder structure, and it adopts a prestressed concrete single-box single-chamber variable height and variable section design.
The beam body was first cast parallel to the railway line on the railway side. Among them, block 0 was cast in place using disk buckle supports, while the remaining beam sections were cast using the hanging basket cantilever method. After the pouring was completed, the entire beam section was symmetrically pulled by two 200-ton jacks to rotate the steel strands counterclockwise by 60 degrees during the “window period” of railway operation, precisely positioning it at the designed bridge position. This solved a series of technical problems such as safety control during construction on the operating line and precision control of large-tonnage rotation.

The Shanghai-Nanjing-Hefei High-Speed Railway is the eastern section of the Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu High-Speed Railway and an important part of the national “Eight Verticals and Eight Horizontals” high-speed railway network’s Yangtze River channel. As an important part of the national “Eight Verticals and Eight Horizontals” high-speed railway network’s Yangtze River channel, the Shanghai-Nanjing-Hefei High-Speed Railway undertakes the transportation tasks of the main network passenger flow of the Yangtze River channel and some direct passenger flow to Shanghai from the coastal and Beijing-Shanghai channels.
