On January 3, the website of the Ministry of Commerce announced the results of the assessment and evaluation of the comprehensive development level of the latest state-level economic and technological development zones. Our province 9 state-level economic and technological development zones among the top 30, Suzhou Industrial Park has been ranked first in the comprehensive ranking, won the “nine consecutive titles”.
This time, the Ministry of Commerce assessed and evaluated the comprehensive development level of 229 national-level economic development zones for the year 2023. Among the top 30 in the comprehensive ranking, Jiangsu became the province with the highest number of listings with 9 listings; Suzhou became the prefecture-level city with the highest number of listings with 5 listings.
Among the economic and development zones in Jiangsu on the list, in addition to Suzhou Industrial Park topping the list, Kunshan Economic and Technological Development Zone is listed in 5th place, Jiangning Economic and Technological Development Zone is listed in 11th place, Wujiang Economic and Technological Development Zone is listed in 19th place, Nanjing Economic and Technological Development Zone is listed in 20th place, Nantong Economic and Technological Development Zone is listed in 21st place, Suzhou Hushuguan Economic and Technological Development Zone is listed in 23rd place, Xuzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone is listed in 29th place, and Wuzhong Economic and Technological Development Zone is listed in 30th place. Xuzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone ranked 29th, Wuzhong Economic and Technological Development Zone ranked 30th.
In the individual rankings, SIP, Kunshan Economic and Technological Development Zone (KEDZ) and Suzhou Hushuguan Economic and Technological Development Zone (SHEDZ) ranked among the top ten in “total import and export”, respectively ranked 1st, 2nd and 10th. Suzhou Industrial Park and Jiangning Economic and Technological Development Zone were ranked among the top ten in the single item of “actual use of foreign capital”, ranking 4th and 10th respectively.
Jiangsu is one of the provinces with the earliest time, the largest number, the fastest development, the largest scale and the best efficiency in organizing development zones. In recent years, it has continued to maintain its leading position in the list of assessment and evaluation results of the comprehensive development level of national-level development zones of the Ministry of Commerce, which reflects the innovative practice and achievements of Jiangsu’s high-level opening-up to the outside world.
