On January 27th, the signing ceremony for the high-end elastomer materials and additives project of Henghe (Nanjing) Company was held. Lu Weidong, the Party Secretary and Director of Jiangbei New District, and Yang Mengjun, the Chairman of Zhejiang Henghe Industrial Group Co., Ltd., as well as Tao Lei, a member of the Party Committee of Jiangbei New District and the Deputy Director of the Management Committee, attended the event.
Zhejiang Henghe Industrial Group Co., Ltd. was founded in 2003, with its main business covering fields such as chemicals, real estate, and investment. The company’s chemical sector possesses industry-leading independent process technologies and has received designations such as “National Single-Member Enterprise” and “National Enterprise Technology Center”. In 2008, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Zhejiang Henghe Industrial Group Co., Ltd., Henghe (Nanjing) Materials Technology Co., Ltd., settled in Jiangbei. After more than a decade of development, the chemical raw materials related products of Henghe Nanjing Company, such as isoprene, isoprene, bis-cyclopentadiene, and carbon five petroleum resin, have been exported overseas and have become important partners for global renowned enterprises such as Belgian Ineos, Italian Polin, and American ExxonMobil.
In December 2024, the company invested in building a 150,000-ton/year high-end hygiene materials project in the new area. The new area adheres to the concept of “no delay in service, never saying no easily”, and with the greatest sincerity, the best environment, and the most practical measures, it fully guarantees the project construction. From project approval to commencement, it only took 4 months, achieving the “New District Speed” for major project construction and earning high recognition and full trust from the enterprise. This year, the company has decided to further increase investment and settle in a new project. According to the agreement, the high-end elastomer materials and additives project of Henghe (Nanjing) Company signed and implemented in the new area plans to invest over 1 billion yuan. It will rely on the company’s advanced technology advantages in upgrading high-end tire petroleum resin to develop and produce high-tech threshold, high value-added, and low environmental impact high-end hygiene quality thermoplastic elastomers and other products, further meeting the high-end demands of the automotive industry, healthcare, aerospace, and other fields, and contributing to the high-quality development of the new materials industry.
Lu Weidong stated that Henghe Industrial Group is a globally highly competitive carbon five and carbon nine comprehensive utilization industrial group. After the high-end hygiene materials project of the group was implemented in Nanjing Jiangbei New District New Materials Science Park last year, this time the high-end elastomer materials and additives project was signed and implemented again, continuing to write a new chapter of solid cooperation and deep friendship between the two parties. It is hoped that both parties will create construction benchmarks with “new speed”, maintain an efficient momentum, and promote the early implementation, early production, and early effectiveness of the project; with “new technologies” to promote the improvement of the level, jointly carry out technological research and development, and jointly build an elastomer research and development center and an industrialization highland; with “new ecosystems” to aggregate industrial clusters, continuously deepen industrial exchanges, and jointly create a high-end materials industry ecosystem.
Yang Mengjun stated that since the early stage of the project’s preliminary negotiations and initiation, Jiangbei New District has provided comprehensive, full-process, and multi-dimensional support and guarantees. The enterprise has truly felt the attractiveness of the high-quality business environment and has become even more determined to invest and thrive in Jiangbei New District. This signing represents a new starting point for the deepening of cooperation and the pursuit of common development between the two parties. The enterprise will adhere to the concepts of “innovation, pragmatism, integrity, and win-win”, and work together with Jiangbei New District to fully promote the project construction, ensure its early commissioning and effectiveness, and strive to create a demonstration model of coordinated government and enterprise efforts and mutual benefit.
The person in charge of Henghe (Nanjing) Materials Technology Co., Ltd., as well as relevant officials from the departments and bureaus, and platforms of the new district, participated in the event.
