As a highland of the biopharmaceutical industry, the Yangtze River Delta region accounts for about 30% of the country’s output value, and Jiangsu and Nanjing are even ahead of the country. In recent years, Jingqiao Town has targeted this industrial track and built a cluster of pharmaceutical and medical device circulation services, and strived to add a professional logistics service platform to Nanjing and surrounding pharmaceutical production bases .

In 2023, Jingqiao Town has introduced a new intelligent pharmaceutical flow enterprise – Jiangsu No. 1 Changda Pharmaceutical Flow Co., Ltd. In 2024, the total revenue of the pharmaceutical flow industry in Jingqiao Town exceeded 500 million, of which No. 1 Changda contributed nearly 300 million yuan, accounting for half of the land. 2021 is the first year for Jingqiao Town to target the pharmaceutical flow industry, and it introduced the first pharmaceutical flow company in the town – Nanjing Yongan Pharmaceutical Resources Co., Ltd. The company started production in four months, achieved operating income of 170 million yuan in the first year, and then stabilized at around 250 million yuan per year. “The successful commissioning of Yong’an Pharmaceutical has strengthened our determination to develop modern pharmaceutical and medical device circulation service industries, and decided to develop it as the leading industry.” The main person in charge of Jingqiao Town said.
As the core area of the health industry in Lishui District, Jingqiao Town has actively responded to the call for green development in recent years, closed all chemical enterprises, and planned to develop health care industries. With the successful production of Jiangsu No. 1 Changda Pharmaceutical and Yong’an Pharmaceutical, Jingqiao Town has taken advantage of the situation and successively introduced companies such as Puqian Pharmaceutical and Borui Technology to settle in. The two companies will be fully put into production in April this year. At present, the effect of Jingqiao Town’s pharmaceutical industry cluster has begun to appear, and its revenue in 2025 is expected to exceed 1.5 billion yuan.

Changda Pharmaceutical and Yongan Pharmaceutical are both located in the former Guanshan Industrial Park, which was once known as the “Industrial Rust Belt”. By implementing the “empty cage and replace birds” strategy, Jingqiao Town has successfully revitalized a total of 11,500 square meters of inefficient land in Guanshan Park, making valuable space for the vigorous development of the pharmaceutical abortion industry .

Last year, Nanjing Smart Health and Health Innovation Park Area A, located in Jingqiao Town, was put into use, with a total of 14 standardized factories and 1 supporting house. The first batch of 6 projects have been signed and settled, providing modern production and R&D space for the companies that have settled in.
Nanjing Smart Health and Health Innovation Park is a major municipal project jointly built by Jingqiao Town and Lishui Environmental Group . It has a total area of 205,000 square meters. It is planned to be built in phases in three areas A, B and C. It aims to create a high-standard manufacturing carrier integrating manufacturing production areas, R&D pilot areas, and scientific research display and incubation areas. After the project is put into operation, it is expected to achieve an annual output value of 2 billion yuan and profits and taxes of nearly 100 million yuan.
