In Lishui, AI has “run” into the classroom

Driven by the wave of digitalization, artificial intelligence (AI) is deeply integrated into the field of education, reshaping the traditional teaching model. Many schools in Lishui District are actively exploring innovative practices in AI education, from classroom assistance to competition empowerment, injecting scientific and technological momentum into teaching reform.
AI as “Command”, Practice Becomes “Actual Combat”
　　”It’s a success!” There was a burst of cheers in the maker classroom of the Chongwen Road Campus of Lishui District Experimental Primary School – the students had just successfully commanded the robot to complete the simulated high-altitude rescue mission through autonomous programming.

“从机械结构到程序代码都是我们自己完成的。”五年级学生汤伊菲与搭档王梓端木自豪地展示他们的编程界面，“我们模拟了救援场景，要让机器人精准识别目标位置，救出被困人员。”在他们的身后，陈列的各种机器人仿若训练有素的救援队员，等待编程指令精准执行任务。

 The District Experimental Primary School attaches great importance to AI education, and has specially opened special courses such as robot programming and artificial intelligence basics. Jiang Yun, director of the school’s information center, said: “The course focuses on practical applications, and high-altitude rescue projects like today’s not only exercise programming thinking, but also cultivate children’s teamwork skills. ”

The students of the school have won many honors in national competitions, including the champion and runner-up of the ZONE01ORC International Youth Robot Elite Challenge (China Division), and the “Innovation Star” of the National Student Information Literacy Improvement Practice Activity, which has become a bright business card of Lishui AI education.
AI as a “teaching assistant”, the classroom is more “smart”
     The primary schools in the development zone have unique characteristics in the application of AI education. The smart classroom built by the school uses intelligent technology to automatically generate a “physical examination report” for classroom teaching, and makes classroom efficiency clear at a glance through data analysis.     In the smart classroom, the whole process of the teacher’s class will be recorded, and the teacher’s teaching behavior in class will be analyzed in detail through a powerful AI analysis system. How is the interaction between teachers and students? Did the teacher speak well? Is there a high rate of student heads-up? Is the classroom atmosphere active or not? It captures all this data accurately.

After the analysis, the system will give you highly useful optimization suggestions. For example, if students find that students do not understand a certain knowledge point well, the system will suggest that the teacher adjust the explanation method and give more vivid and interesting examples. If you find that there is not enough interaction in the classroom, the system will remind the teacher to design more interactive sessions to make students more actively participate in the class.
