In 2024, China continuously optimized policies on visa-free transit, regional entry, and port visas, further expanding the scope of unilateral and mutual visa exemptions, and continuously improving the convenience for foreigners to come to and stay in China. In 2024, a total of 64.882 million foreign nationals entered and exited China, an increase of 82.9% year-on-year. At all national ports, 20.115 million foreign nationals were granted visa-free entry, up 112.3% year-on-year.
