The project was completed on July 18th, put into trial production on August 20th, and began to deliver isobutylene products with a purity of over 99.99% in October, achieving continuous growth in the company’s benefits… For Nanjing Jinling Huntsman New Materials Co., LTD., the newly put into production projects have been very busy in recent months. The global demand for high-purity isobutylene products exceeds 3 million tons. China is one of the regions with the fastest-growing demand. Its main uses include the production of automotive tires and automotive insulation products, as well as synthetic resins, surface coatings, and acrylic glass production, etc. Jinling Huntsman has invested in the construction of a 60,000-ton/year tert-butanol catalytic distillation dehydration project to produce isobutylene, aiming to develop and produce high-purity isobutylene products.
With the assistance of the new district, not only was our project completed and put into production ahead of schedule, but we also successfully applied for the pressure vessel filling license. The person in charge of Jinling Hengsi said that previously, the enterprise raised difficulties and demands to the new district. Unexpectedly, they were resolved so quickly, which enabled the smooth progress of the enterprise’s production, greatly improved operational efficiency, and laid a foundation for the stable development of the enterprise in the future. For enterprises, after the equipment is put into operation, if the products produced are to be filled into pressure vessels, they must apply for a pressure vessel filling license. Previously, enterprises needed to organize the acceptance of safety facilities after 3 to 6 months of trial production. Now, with the policy adjustment, it is necessary to first verify the compliance of the safety facilities put into use before the market supervision department can pass the review of the pressure vessel filling license. For this reason, the enterprise has put forward demands to the new district, hoping that assistance can be provided for the matter of obtaining the certificate. After understanding the enterprise’s demands, we coordinated and verified that the safety facilities and equipment at the gas cylinder pressure vessel filling site were consistent with the project’s safety facility design special chapter. Then, we issued a special situation statement to the enterprise. A relevant official from the Emergency Management Bureau of the New District introduced that subsequently, the Market Supervision and Administration Bureau of the New District applied to the superior department and helped Jinling Huntsman obtain the pressure vessel filling license at the end of September. Similar to Jinling Huntsman, Baoying Gas and Yimeng Gas also successfully applied for pressure vessel filling licenses in the end.
In terms of product sales and industrial chain construction, the new district is also offering advice and strategies to enterprises. Jinling Huntsman is located in the New Materials Science and Technology Park, where many enterprises have purchasing demands for propylene oxide. During the visits to enterprises, we inquired in detail about their demands, hoping to promote the interconnection and mutual supply of raw materials and products among enterprises in the park, thereby reducing their transportation and procurement costs and achieving mutual benefit and win-win results. Nowadays, Jinling Huntsman has connected with the demand for propylene oxide from enterprises within the park and successfully expanded the market nearby. As of now, the sales volume of propylene oxide in the park accounts for more than 48% of the total sales volume of Jinling Huntsman in the current month. According to the person in charge of the enterprise, among them, Dena Chemical, Zhongshan New Materials, Weier Biology and other enterprises have become stable customers. Coupled with the high-purity isobutylene product put into production this time, all these will open up new profit space for the enterprise, enhance market competitiveness and promote the transformation and upgrading of the enterprise.
