On November 14, a significant investment exchange meeting between Nanjing Gulou District and the Middle East-Africa delegation was held in Building A of Gulou Innovation Plaza. Jin Xuechun, deputy district head of Gulou District, delivered an opening speech, briefly introducing the development and investment potential of artificial intelligence in Nanjing Gulou District to the guests, fully demonstrating the open and inclusive mind of the Gulou District Government. She said that China and the Middle East and Africa have a long history of friendship, and the “Belt and Road” initiative has also opened up a vast space for cooperation between the two sides. The Saudi Arabian Data Bureau’s artificial intelligence special fund is expected to be established in Gulou District, which is a major opportunity for the two sides to deepen exchanges and cooperation, and is an important opportunity to further strengthen technical exchanges, talent training and industrial development in the field of artificial intelligence . It is hoped that this opportunity can be used to further promote exchanges and interactions between the two sides in the fields of culture, education, tourism, etc., and enhance understanding and friendship between the people.
Peter, Katarina, Young-sup Joo and others from the Middle East-Africa delegation spoke on the theme of the conference, and invited three members of the World Smart City Forum to deliver speeches via video link. From the macro perspective of global smart city development, they accurately analyzed the core driving role of artificial intelligence in the process of smart city construction, as well as the positive significance of this cooperation in promoting regional and even global innovation and development.
