Lishui Hosts Industrial Matchmaking Event with European Enterprises
On November 30th, 2023, Lishui held an industrial matchmaking event titled “Gathering ‘Li’ to Peer into the ‘Smart’ Future” with European enterprises. The event was part of the 2023 World Intelligent Manufacturing Congress and allowed 36 regional companies and 22 European firms to explore cooperation opportunities around industrial growth.
Attended by European representatives like Francesco Guadagno, Deputy Mayor of Colleferro District in Rome, the event emphasized the importance of international collaboration for innovation and cultural exchange. By bringing together space sector players and supporting openness, Colleferro aims to cooperate with Lishui economically and culturally while deepening mutual understanding.
In his speech, Liu Jia, Lishui’s Vice Mayor, highlighted China’s continued opening up. With many European firms already thriving locally, he hoped the event would spur more overseas investment and partnerships abroad for Lishui companies.
Zhai Xiaoli, another Vice Mayor, showcased Lishui’s strengths around location, business environment, openness, and services to attract foreign partners. The European attendees spanned autos, batteries, materials, manufacturing, aerospace and other sectors – strategic matches for Lishui’s priorities in new energy vehicles, biomedicine, intelligent equipment, and smart homes.
Over 20 local firms outlined plans to expand globally and collaborate on technology. Leaders from Kaiwu New Energy Automobile Group and European counterparts like Avio gave overviews of their products, technical strengths, and interest in deeper win-win relationships.
With close EU economic ties, Lishui has become an important destination for foreign investment in Nanjing’s industrial growth. Hosting around 300 foreign companies, including major European players like Italy’s Brembo, Germany’s Siemens, and France’s Valeo, the region continues expanding partnerships abroad as more local brands penetrate European markets.
