Basic situation
Nanjing Lishui District Huacheng Vegetable Professional Cooperative is located in Wufeitang Community, Hefeng Town, Lishui District. It covers an operating area of 2,008.53 mu, with a core area of 450 mu. It mainly produces over 60 kinds of vegetables including fruit and vegetable, green leafy vegetable and special vegetable. It is a new type of cooperative economic organization integrating vegetable planting, sales, leisure picking, sightseeing tourism and agricultural science and technology research and services. It has successively been awarded the titles of National Model Farmers’ Cooperative, Most Beautiful Green Food Enterprise, Jiangsu Province’s Delicious Vegetable Garden, and Nanjing City’s “Double Excellence” Farmers’ Professional Cooperative, and is one of the permanent vegetable supply bases in Jiangsu Province.

Main practices
We will continue to introduce and promote new varieties of high-quality vegetables, new green production technologies, new models of environmentally friendly, low-carbon and recyclable development, and new equipment for replacing human labor with machines. We will gradually establish and improve the quality and safety management system for agricultural products and create high-quality agricultural product brands. Carry out the integration of simplified vegetable cultivation and technologies such as “rotation, control, modification and substitution” for green vegetables, and continuously achieve the transformation from traditional extensive agriculture to digital ecological agriculture.
1.”Wheel” is used for rotation. The farm has effectively improved soil structure, reduced the occurrence of pests and diseases, and enhanced soil fertility by scientifically implementing methods such as wet and dry crop rotation, water and dry crop rotation, vegetable rotation, grain and vegetable rotation, and mushroom and vegetable rotation, and rationally rotating the planting areas of different crops.

2.”Controlling” salt intake can control diseases. Through improvement and fertilization, high-temperature greenhouse sealing, soil disinfection, biological simplification and salt reduction, water and fertilizer integration, as well as green prevention and control technologies, the farm achieves the goal of reducing fertilizer and pesticide use, water and fertilizer consumption, and green and simplified cultivation. Carry out harmless treatment of rural vegetable waste through biological composting to achieve green and recyclable utilization of farm resources.


3.Organisms “improve”. By applying new biotechnologies such as microbial agents, soil conditioners and biostimulants, the microbial ecosystem in farmland can be reconstructed, thereby enhancing the biological activity of the soil, improving soil structure and strengthening the disease resistance of crops.

4.”Substitute” for an upgrade. By replacing conventional varieties with superior resistant ones, grafted seedlings with seedlings, substrates with rhizosphere soil, bio-organic-inorganic compound fertilizers and high-efficiency water-soluble fertilizers with ordinary chemical fertilizers, small-scale intelligent agricultural machinery with manual labor, and degradable agricultural films with traditional enhanced films, the farm production model is transforming towards a more ecologically friendly and sustainable development direction.
