Yesterday morning, Southeast University signed a cooperation agreement with Jiangbei New Area, and the Department of Medicine and Life Sciences of Southeast University will be stationed in Jiangbei New Area.
A number of major innovation platforms of Southeast University, such as the National Key Laboratory of Digital Medical Engineering and the National Innovation Platform for the Integration of Industry and Education in Interventional Medicine Engineering, will gradually settle in Jiangbei Campus, and the Jiangbei Campus of Southeast University will become the main campus of Southeast University’s medical school.
Yesterday morning, the Southeast University Medical and Life Science Innovation and Development Conference was held at the Yangtze River International Conference Center, where more than 20 Chinese and foreign academicians, many domestic and foreign experts and scholars gathered.
As one of the highlights of the conference, the agreement was signed for the Department of Medicine and Life Sciences of Southeast University to enter Nanjing Jiangbei New Area.
“We must work together to promote the Department of Medicine and Life Sciences of Southeast University to accelerate the landing in Jiangbei New Area, and support the cultivation and incubation of the ‘Dongda Department’ project.” The relevant person in charge of the Science and Technology Innovation and Big Data Administration of Jiangbei New Area said.
The Department of Medicine and Life Sciences mentioned in the signing, that is, the medical department of Southeast University, includes the National Key Laboratory of Digital Medical Engineering, the National Innovation Platform for the Integration of Industry and Education in Interventional Medicine Engineering, the Basic Medicine Innovation Center of the Ministry of Education, the National Research Institute of Health Big Data and the Organ-on-a-chip Research Institute.
Southeast University has always attached great importance to the development of medical and life sciences, with a long history and profound heritage. With the gradual settlement of many major platforms of the medical department of Southeast University in Jiangbei New Area, in the future, this “innovation port” for the integration of medical and engineering development will bring more outstanding talents and high-quality scientific research projects to Jiangbei New Area, and will further lead the changes in Jiangbei’s life and health industry.
In addition, the two sides will also make every effort to promote the construction of the Women and Children’s Center and the Jiangbei New Campus of Zhongda Hospital Affiliated to Southeast University, and work together to build a first-class high-level research hospital in China. At the same time, we will continue to promote the high-end development of EDA National Innovation Center, and work together to ensure the construction of Jiangbei Campus of Southeast University.
In this cooperation with Southeast University, Jiangbei New Area also released the Southeast University Jiangbei New Area Medical and Engineering Integration Fund to fully support the implementation of various innovative projects and key platforms of Southeast University in Jiangbei New Area.
In less than a month, Jiangbei New Area has signed contracts with Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology and Southeast University。
Further, Jiangbei New District has also built the Jiangbei Innovation Center of the State Key Laboratory of Materials Chemical Engineering with Nanjing University of Technology, and the Collaborative Innovation Center for Life and Health with Nanjing University. Effectively transform the cutting-edge technology in the university laboratory in the Jiangbei New Area Industrial Park, and promote high output value with high “research” value, so as to further promote the vigorous development of the industry and empower economic and social construction.
