Intelligent Manufacturing: One vehicle is produced every 90 seconds.
“During the first quarter of this year, in addition to delivering all domestic market orders, we also need to deliver 3,000 overseas orders. Since the beginning of the year, the factory has been operating at full capacity.” Chen Sailong, the manager of the manufacturing and operation department of the Deep Blue Nanjing Digital Factory, introduced. As an important production base of China Changan Automobile Group in the East China region, the Deep Blue Automobile Nanjing Digital Factory was awarded the title of “Benchmark Intelligent Factory in the Chinese Automotive Industry” in November last year. The factory extensively applies intelligent manufacturing technologies, integrating 5G networks and IoT platforms in the stamping, welding, painting, final assembly and battery five workshops, creating 68 5G + intelligent manufacturing scenarios. Every 90 seconds, one Deep Blue S07 rolls off the production line.
“We can offer personalized customization for over 3,000 different configuration combinations,” Chen Selin said, pointing at the vehicles moving along the production line. “For example, this S07 model. The customer chose a specific exterior color, interior configuration and intelligent driving features. The system will automatically allocate the corresponding components to ensure that each vehicle is precisely matched to the order requirements.”
Expand overseas operations: Cover 75 countries and regions around the world
In the vehicle parking area, rows of deep blue S07 vehicles heading for the exit stand out prominently. These vehicles have been specially matched according to the regulations and preferences of overseas markets and are set to be dispatched to regions such as Southeast Asia and the Middle East. After the launch of the Deep Blue S07, due to the simultaneous installation of Huawei Gan Kun Intelligent Driving System and the Deep Blue Super Range Extension System, it received a warm market response. As of now, the product sales have exceeded 300,000 units, covering 75 countries and regions around the world. Driven by the popularity of these models, Nanjing Changan has continuously exceeded 10 billion yuan in annual output for three consecutive years, becoming the first 100-billion-yuan enterprise in Liushui.
The relevant executive of the enterprise disclosed that under the promotion of Changan Automobile’s “going global” strategy, Nanjing Changan expects its production and sales volume to exceed 80,000 vehicles this year, with the export volume accounting for 20% higher than before. “We are deeply integrating into the global strategy. On one hand, we are meeting the existing overseas market demands; on the other hand, we are also actively expanding new markets.”
Dual-track approach: Ensure delivery while preparing new products simultaneously
In the face of an increasingly competitive automotive market, Nanjing Changan has launched a new development pattern of “dual-track advancement”: on one hand, it is accelerating its overseas expansion and deepening its global strategic layout; on the other hand, it is actively adjusting its production lines to make adequate preparations for the upcoming new models.
To prepare for the new model launch, Nanjing Changan promptly adjusted its production lines and utilized the digital twin factory to simulate the production process. They were able to predict and resolve each bottleneck in advance. Currently, the new model has been put into trial production, which will bring new growth momentum to Nanjing Changan.
As the “chain leader” enterprise in the new energy vehicle industry chain of the entire region, Nanjing Changan has fully ramped up production and continuously unleashed its production capacity. Its strong development momentum effectively drives the upstream and downstream supporting enterprises to accelerate in coordination, enabling nearly 20 local supporting enterprises to simultaneously upgrade their production lines, expand orders, and accelerate innovation, thereby promoting the vigorous development of the new energy vehicle industry in Lishui.
