Recently, Gulou District organized the lottery of the third batch of public rental housing (commonly known as public rental housing) in 2024. On the eve of this most beautiful traditional festival for Chinese people, 135 families have their own public rental housing in anticipation, and they also have more yearning for a better life
“According to relevant regulations, priority can be given to public rental housing for groups such as those who enjoy regular state pension subsidies, the elderly, the disabled, people who have done heroic deeds, model workers, and families with many children. For special groups with intellectual disabilities and physical disabilities that make them unable to move, priority can be given to renting floors that suit their actual needs.” A relevant person in charge of the Gulou District Housing Security Center introduced: “In this lottery, except for families with priority selection rights, everyone else will be allocated according to the order of registration to ensure a fair and just process.”
This batch of 135 public rental housing units are located in Huagang, Dingjiazhuang, Mengbei, Baishui and other areas, all of which are single-bedroom units within 45-50 square meters. The scene of the draw was orderly, and everyone happily received their own housing confirmation slips after completing the procedures. Next, they will receive the keys according to the process and move into their new homes.

Aunt Wu, 68, said: “I currently rent a house, which costs about 2,000 yuan a month. With the public housing, my expenses will be reduced, and I will live more comfortably, which can be regarded as solving my worries.”
Mr. Qian, 55, currently rents a room in a friend’s house, which is very inconvenient. He said: “After getting a public rental house, I will have my own independent space, and the quality of life will be greatly improved. Moreover, the transportation of this batch of houses is also very convenient, and there are buses and subways nearby, which is also convenient for me to take care of my mother.”
