China Phoenix Full Value Chain Gigafactory Project Lands in Nanjing
On December 18, China Phoenix full value chain gigafactory project signing activity was held in Nanjing Jiangning Development Zone. This is not only a landmark project for Nanjing to expand its high-level opening-up to the world, but also a vivid practice for foreign enterprises to continue investing in Nanjing. Zhou Hongbo, Secretary of the CPC Nanjing Municipal Committee, Frank Stührenberg, CEO of Phoenix Electric Group, and Dirk Görlitzer, Phoenix CEO and COO, witnessed the signing.
In his speech, Zhou Hongbo congratulated the signing of the project on behalf of the CPC Nanjing Municipal Committee and the municipal government.
He said that Nanjing and German companies have maintained close cooperation. As a global leader in the field of industrial automation technology, Phoenix has worked hand in hand with Nanjing for more than 30 years, becoming an old friend of industrial science and technology innovation and making important contributions to the development of Nanjing’s intelligent manufacturing industry. This signing is a new starting point for win-win cooperation. It is hoped that the two sides can work together to strengthen the business in Nanjing, seize the emerging field, explore the global market, help Nanjing to be a leading industrial city with new development momentum and wider opening-up to the world. Nanjing will make greater efforts to create a market-oriented, law-based and international top-notch business environment, provide better and more convenient services for the construction of the project, and jointly create a better future of mutual benefit.
In his speech, Dirk Görlitzer expressed his gratitude to Nanjing and Jiangning District for their long-term care and support for the development of Phoenix in Nanjing.
He said the signing was a historic moment. Phoenix full value chain gigafactory is its largest investment project in Nanjing, and is also a practical testimony to the company’s confidence for the Chinese market and the future of Nanjing. Phoenix will continue to take root in China and Nanjing, and expect more cooperation with the city.
The Phoenix full value chain gigafactory project, planned to start construction in the first quarter of 2025 and be completed and put into operation in 2028, will create a core manufacturing base with deep integration and efficient collaboration of the full value chain of parts, finished products and supply chains.
