On July 17, Changan Mazda’s first new energy vehicle MAZDA EZ-6 officially came off the production line, and Mazda’s new energy vehicle project intentional cooperation agreement was signed. Mayor Chen Zhichang, President of Chongqing Changan Automobile Co., Ltd. Wang Jun, Executive Executive Director of Mazda Motor Corporation, Chairman of Mazda China Corporate Management Co., Ltd. and Toru Nakajima delivered speeches and witnessed the signing. Municipal Standing Committee, Jiangning District Committee Secretary Lin Tao attended.
In recent years, Nanjing has responded to the trend of changes in the automobile industry and vigorously promoted the transformation of traditional fuel vehicle production capacity to new energy vehicles. Changan Mazda is an important vehicle enterprise in Nanjing, which has been rooted and developed in Nanjing for 20 years, and has made positive contributions to the automobile industry and economic and social development of Nanjing.
Chen Zhichang said in his speech that the new models coming off the production line and the signing of the new cooperation mark a new starting point for Changan Mazda’s development. We hope that Changan Mazda will accelerate the iterative upgrading of existing models and the design and development of high-quality models, and expect Changan Automobile and Mazda to continue to plough into Nanjing and invest in Nanjing, and to lay out and land more high-quality innovative resources and industrial projects, so as to jointly create a brighter future.
Wang Jun said that at present, China’s auto industry is accelerating towards high-end, intelligent and green development, which is both a challenge and an opportunity. The launch of Mazda EZ-6 marks the comprehensive transformation of Changan Mazda, and also demonstrates that the strategic mutual trust between Changan and Mazda has entered a new stage and reached a new height. Standing on a new starting point, Changan Mazda will continue to bring more and better products and services to global customers and make new and greater contributions to the economic and social development of Nanjing.
